IT IS TRUE! That's the whole point (abortions in general). The flaw is that it chooses a specific variable (Black) where a general one is needed (all babies). The data has been twisted to prove an equation that is "junk".

In the book referenced, the "abortions lower crime" is proven statistically. As a "researcher you should understand what that means. Now one could extrapolate that aborting black babies would also lower crime but you would be making roughly the same extrapolation that the caller did in assuming that commonly aborted babies are an equal cross section of citizens and hence would likely increase revenue.

Pretend he used a different variable (like eye color) and re read it, maybe that wioll keep your hair trigger racism alarms from going off and clouding your minds.

Bennetts saying that aborting black babies would reduce crime rates IS true, but not because they are black. It's because the race statistically has a higher concentration of members convicted of crimes per capita than other races. Again, not because they are black, that is just the coincidence.

The study proved aborting babies has lowered crime, so it is basic logic that abortions among the group proportionately committing the most crime would also lower crime rates. The "junk" part is the extrapolation is that being black is the CAUSE of the behavior rather than a circumstance.

Note: Tony, this logic is way past your pay grade so just call me a racist and move on to another post, thanks in advance for your cooperation.

That is a relief, but no I don't think there was anything wrong with what he said BUT I will admit that he should have been more leary/aware of how quickly a Conservative will be pounced on for even daring to use the "B" word and should have avoided it altogether. You might also want to consider 'convicted of crime' incidences are inversely proportionate to income levels. In general, the rate of *commission of crime* is roughly similar for white & black races.

The stats don't lie. Blacks have a greater likelyhood of being criminals than whites. You're the one who assumes it's BECAUSE they are black not me. I fully understand that this stat is misleading as the other variables involved (income/poverty) are the true driving factors. This is exactly what Bennett was trying to get accross.
