I didn't. It was just a guess. The grill tipped me off. Even at that I could only guess the manufacturer, not the model or year. I was sure it was a caddy at first. It's a lot like the cyclone concept car of the same era.

Here's a limited production car. I believe my favorite car, the 550/575 Maranello may have had it's roots in this design. Hint-It's not a Ferrari.

Thank you for contributing to my education. I had never heard of that one before. A Porsche that looks like everyone else's small coupe? The last image shows different bodywork: rear fender'hump' after the door and a crease in the front fender. Different year? Prototype? Karmann version?

Seems to me that I also read about another company that went as far as to use a 356 shell, as a base for a limited production front-engined sports car. Anyone remember that? I think it was in Sports Car International a few years ago.

Is that front-engined? Looks like the grill is blocked off, and it also has Porsche wheels. Maybe it is... I can barely remember.
