Damn...FWIW I am not by any means a staunch believer in speed limits; however, I drive PCH 5-6 days a week with my V1 cranked up and I can attest that no sane person would exceed 60 or maybe 65mph for a sustained period of time. It is blatantly irresponsible (homicidal) and potentially suicidal.

Not to mention >20 over in a 45 zone will attract the Malibu/LACo Sheriff like flies on you know what. 10 or 15 over and you will be ignored, usually...

These guys were extremely lucky that the megabuck car saved their asses but hopefully karma will catch up to them on another road and another day...

you can be arrested for dwi even if you are below the legal limit. That is not an absolute, but rather a guildeline. You can blow a 0.03 and still get arrested if you're not "in control" of your car.

Similar to the basic speed law here. You can be cited for going the speed limit if that speed is too fast for the conditions.

Interesting: this article claims the guy didn't even own the car. The Bank of Scotland was in the process of repossessing it, so he ships it to the US and drives around with European plates.

How the hell did he get that Enzo into the US? Legit cars have a hard enough time getting in. Some kind of diplomatic thing?

It made me feel better to know that this guy ate $1 million, but now we learn this guy isn't out one dime...what a tool. Is he in custody now? If not he's probably in some island country living off other people's money.

You gotta figure this $1mil is a mere drop in the bucket compared to the $100mil dump his video game company took on the other side of the pond.

To go a bit further...since the crashed Enzo isn't being covered by insurance the bank eyed the other (yellow) Enzo in his possesion. Now they're questioning it's ownership and legality here in the states.

There can be a fine line between a successful salesman and a con man. I think this one has become quite obvious.

What the F. If you don't make the payments and the repo man is on your tail, why not "crash test " the car.

The hose...bids past $150 now. Are people insane? Howard, this is brilliant! My laugh of the day is reading all the "questions to seller"...

I think Howard just found the next "Virgin Mary Grilled Cheese Sandwich". Let's hope that the outfit who bought the sandwich gets notice of the hose and drives it up into the thousands$$$$.
