Latest mac mini issues

installed the 2nd Apple recommended RAM chip on Thursday after I got home. That fixed the issue with the machine freezing up when it came out of hibernate. ****ing printer just stopped working altogether this morning. This thing sucks.

Can you see the printer in Print Utility? I'd start there. You might have to delete and re-add it.

no, it wont connect to it. Delete and re-add is the plan. Maybe the scanner connectivity issue will fix itself with the reinstall.

Reset the PMU. I've never had my mac crash in over 2 years. I've had individual programs crash, but only MS office programs. Entourage (outlook) is really the only one. I'm an overzealous convert and I'm never going back.

Power off/on the printer. See if that does it. Are you using a USB hub? It might suck.

Apple has a board on their site, that might be a valuable resource. FWIW, I had more trouble using a printer in Windows than on the Mac. Windows likes to take 5 minutes to cancel a job that I don't want. My Powerbook is great, and my brother's (G4, not Intel) Mini is great. They might be having some bugs to work out with the new Intel ones.

powered printer on and off and checked the USB hub before I posted. USB can definitely be flakey. Anyway, I wound up deleting and re-adding the printer and everything is happy now. THanks again for the help, guys.
