yikes! what is the worst thing you have left in your pocket & sent thru the washer?

i washed a work jacket yesterday. i left a paper box of utility knife blades in a breast pocket. first time in my life, i did laundry with leather work gloves on. i am a total fool. the box obliterated into a million tiny pieces too.

Apart from the various pens and whatnot, one time I accidently poured trans fluid in to the machine instead of laundry soap...

I'll never forget our daughter's brown crayon...it made it through the wash just fine. Ahhh, but the dryer heat melted it. Ever tried to remove brown crayon spots?

a pearl handled antique cattaraugus whittler.didn't even know it was missing for 3 days. spent 3 more days looking everywhere for it . finally gave up and assumed it was gone forever. found by the laundromat lady up in the lint filter two weeks after i gave up looking for it. the good news other than having it back is that it was not rusty or damaged. i now always double check my pockets before washing.

LOL, I did this yesterday. I left a ThermoShred caffiene pill in my pocket. Turn the front of my slacks black & purple and crusted the whole inside of the pocket. Pants are ruined.

I put $3 into the wash once, but it came out fine. A few years back, I jumped into our pool with our Audi keys/immobilizer in my pocket... thankfully we had an extra set!
