3rd grade, 1972.....what does this mean?
Does this not bode well for the future?
I wrote this in 3rd grade

Good eyes, Mike. I thought the same.
What does this mean? Perfectly normal kid with a good imagination, which he can convey into written words - this is quite advanced for a second grader. The problem these days, is that sort of imagination will get a kid thrown out of some schools.

This is truly and epic tale of an unnatural force that has brought havoc down on a town. Here we have a beast that kills almost everybody. The slaughter occurs at night when the town folk are most vulnerable. Smashing their homes - their places of safety until a single man rises up, takes a gun in hand and kills the beast.
This is a story of a man of action and also of a 2nd grader looking for heroes. In 1972 terrorism makes an appearance at the Olympics, Nixon orders the Christmas Bombing of Viet Nam and Britain takes over rule of Northern Ireland. In 1972, this poor lad was in search of meaning and order. The world was becoming a very gruesome place. Was God dead? The papers said so…but this lad would have none of it! Bravo! Bravo! Author! Author!

Mt son wrote stories like that all through grade school. He has a very twisted sense of humor. Some of his teachers did not get it others did.
I never dicouraged him from writing his little horror stories where will the future M. Knight Shyamalan's comes from? As far as my sons storied being politically motivated? doubt it, one of the beauties of being a child is not having a care in the world.

Nice margins....
I think it is 3rd grade... the image looks like one of those really fancy 3s where the top is scrunched and the bottom is curly...  Look at the 3 in "Nov. 13", then look at the 2 in "1972"

Could be, the 'rd' could also be a 'nd'.
Its funny, all this analysis of a young'ns work like when it was done and what does it mean...no wonder there is so much mystery around the Bible. Here we have conjecture around a 32 year old document written by a kid who now posts it as an adult! Proof that we will never ever really know anything...
