The fact that he didn't do anything illegal MAY be why he wasn't charged. I'm just saying though.

And the idea that he's a make-bleieve conservative? not surprising. Quite a few are -- that's where the money is. Conservative books are bought up in large numbers and used as 'premiums' for subscriptions to conservative newsletters... it's guaranteed income. Limbaugh is a radio entertainer. nothing more nor less. Going back 10 or 12 years, Rush started taking himself seriously. He and Gingrich teamed up to scuttle a 'lobbyist reform' bill and did so effectively. I think the power started to get to him after that. I've listened on & off for about 17 years, and anyone who takes Rush seriously just hasn't a clue.

There are few that have attained Limbaugh's stature as a political analyst and commentator...He simply slaughters the competition (including the pretend objective journalists) in journalistic integrity and political acumen.

Rush a hypocrite? Naw...just misunderstood
Rush Limbaugh Show, October 5, 1995: "There's nothing good about drug use. We know it. It destroys individuals. It destroys families. Drug use destroys societies. Drug use, some might say, is destroying this country. And we have laws against selling drugs, pushing drugs, using drugs, importing drugs. And the laws are good because we know what happens to people in societies and neighborhoods which become consumed by them. And so if people are violating the law by doing drugs, they ought to be accused and they ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up." Rush Limbaugh Show, December 16, 1994 So we're not going to get on--we don't fault these animals for a lack of discipline, but we get on human beings who are fat for lack of discipline and you know it and I know it. But here's the thing that struck me about this. We have alcoholics and drug addicts in our society, don't we? And what do we say about them? Well, they can't help it. Why, it's genetic. Why, they have a disease. Why, put one thimbleful of scotch in front of them and they can die.' We totally exempt them from any control over their lives, do we not? Some athlete will spend two years snorting lines of coke. He can't help it.' You know, it's--it's just--it's not--it's--it's genetic. These people--they're predisposed to having this addictive syndrome. They--they can't help--yeah, like that line of cocaine just happened to march into the hotel, go up to the athlete's room and put itself right there in front of him on his blotter. Rush Limbaugh Show, 1-15-96 In fact, I'm reminded--I had this story about three weeks ag--maybe it was before Christmas, maybe it was as far back as November--but there were a couple of drug convictions out in--I think it was a Colorado court. And these guys had--had done some really bad stuff, and there were mandated federal sentences for the crimes they had committed. And the judge apologized to the criminals while sentencing them because he thought it was too severe. He apologized and the com--the community was outraged. So we've gone from a judge sentencing a mother who makes her child beg six months in jail, to judges apologizing for getting dope dealers and crack dealers and drug salesmen off the streets with too severe a sentence. Rush Limbaugh Show, 9-23-93 LIMBAUGH: (Voiceover) He says that, I know every expert in the world will disagree with me, but I don't buy into the disease part of drug abuse. The first time you reach for a substance you are making a choice. Every time you go back, you're making a personal choice. I feel very strongly about that.' What he's saying is that if there's a line of cocaine here, I have to make the choice to go down and sniff it. And I don't know how--how to do it, but if I was going to do it, I'd do it. If there were a gun here, it wouldn't fire itself. I've got to reach for it and--and pull the trigger. And his point is that we are rationalizing all this irresponsibility and all the choices people are making and we're blaming not them, but society for it. All these Hollywood celebrities say the reason they're weird and bizarre is because they were abused by their parents. So we're going to pay for that kind of rehab, too, and we shouldn't. It's not our responsibility. |

My prediction was after Clinton left office Rush would be nothing. He would have nothing to talk about because he would not dare speak out against GW.

I believe anyone who espouses extreme views regarding morality, sex, ethics, etc. is usually hiding something. I consider myself a moderate conservative with common sense. There are many examples of hypocrites on both sides of the political arena such as Rush, Dr. Laura, and that preacher busted for soliciting prostitutes.
Rush is an excellent speaker and entertainer....that's all I see him as. I loved listening to Howard Stern too. Again, he was an excellent speaker and entertainer. David

Rush became a pill popping addict, that bangs Carribean hookers while pumping up with Viagra. I guess he has risen to higher level than Clinton.

Rush didn't sexually harass as per pattern and rape, nor did he lie to a grand jury and obstruct the investigation into his flagrant malfeasance. |

How entertaining to see people actually revere Rush as a sage.
I expect next to see Sean and Ann spoken of in hushed reverent terms as pillars of objectivity. Entertainers that laugh at their avid supporters all the way to the bank.

I at least had an ethical doctor that knew pain pills would not fix the problem. Guess what aggrevates it? Being a fat ass like Rush! Then you have no choice but to sit around and feel sorry for yourself while popping pain pills. My doctors orders? Tight abs and NEVER a pot belly. I have to be at fighting weight for the rest of my life. Sexually Harass? That would mean one participant in an incident would not be a willing one. As far as I know Monica was willing and happy. As far as the investigation, great way to spend taxpayers money that was the worlds most expensive blow job. At least Rush has the sense to go out of country and bang hookers instead. But, damn! Your conservative mouthpiece is banging hookers. I am sure baby Jesus is crying now. I love how you guys filter out what you want and pretend the rest does not exist. HE IS BANGING HOOKERS. He is a FORNICATOR your conservative leader is a fornicator and a drug addict. If this is a conservative lifestyle liberal is looking pretty good. Nice try.

Not ALL conservatives are Bible thumping prudes...some of us, like myself, are fiscally conservative. Frankly, if a few hookers in the oval office would keep Bush from spending like a drunken Democrat, I say bring'em in! Problem is, I don't think that would help.
