What's a commute? You mean when I cross the road on foot to pick up a newspaper or the mail? Damn! Retirement life is a (female dog)...Traffic? Lemme tell ya about the traffic! Gary Hull drove by a few minutes ago...irrigation pipe loaded on his truck. Looks like he'll have a good sweet corn crop this year.

Depends on which location, but currently about 28 miles one way and takes 30-35 mins depending on time of day. Mostly beltway/freeway driving.
Looking to change that. I'd love to roll out of bed and walk to my office. Hopefully sometime in the next 18 months. E |

2.1 miles one way. If I don't run around too much extraniously, I can get by for a couple or three weeks on a tank of gas.

60 miles one way. Takes 45min to 3.5hrs depending on traffic stupidity. The 45 minute run is at 3 AM in the P-car when the interstate is virtually deserted. My own little Gran Prix of New Orleans. Makes it fun going to work.

During Daylight Saving Time ride my Klein back home. 2 hrs 10 min, thru downtown San Diego, Up to Torrey Pines, then the 101 home checking the surf, watching the suckas on 5. But it's wearing on the old bod.

About 4 miles, 7 minutes by car. But lately am doing by bicycle, so zero gas/parking cost and 14 minutes. If rain is too much later in the year, I'll get a scooter to keep gas/parking close to zero. The poor 911 isn't getting driven much lately. This is in Portland.
In SF Bay Area, was about 40 minutes, 5 by car and 35 by BART (subway).

70 miles round trip. About an hour a day, depending wether I take the back roads or if I go through town. I forget what town looks like. Living in the country has it's advantages, even a trip to the fod store is a "fun-run"!

About 40 miles each way into South Central LA and 1 hour in time. I could transfer to a closer station, but I prefer the action.
