I roll out of bed, stumble approximately 15 feet and I am at work...My commuting amounts to recreational canyon runs and the occasional errand which I am really considering hiring out because it is such an inconvenience.

30 miles each way. Normally 40 minutes, except on friday evenings when all the boobs are going to the Jersey Shore, and on monday mornings when they are back from the Jersey Shore.

I commute about 28 miles. While I could use the Interstate, I opt to use secondary roads. Hey, it's the best part of my day. No crazy Interstate-Kamikazes, no kids and family bugging me, no staff to worry about, no executive management asking for hourly updates. TThe drive takes me a bit over thirty minutes.

Ahhhh....

I live about 16 miles from Wash. DC and it takes me an hour door to door each way. That's driving to the Metro (5 miles/20 min.) and walking to the train and then from the train to my office. Two hours a day is HELL. I will be changing jobs Aug. 1 and working from home. I can't imagine how great it will be to have two more hours of each day and $200 a month I used to spend on parking and Metro tix.

4.5 miles that takes about 8 minutes up to maybe 20 minutes on a really bad day when there is an accident or something.

I used to drive from Thousand Oaks to El Segundo, CA daily. 65 miles one way.

Would take 45 minutes if I left at 5am. Afternoons were the worst. Would usually take 2 1/2 hours to drive back using Sepulveda to Mullholland to Hayvenhusrt then to 101. That was usually quicker than the 405 to 101. If the valley floods in the rainy season and canyon roads are shut down, figure 3 hours.

I work for an Intel sub in Hillsboro. (15 miles) Takes roughly 20 minutes to get to work, maybe 5 minutes of traffic, if that.

5.0 miles. It takes 9-12 minutes depending on how many red lights I catch. I usually go in at 9:30 which mean I have to get in the shower by 9:00 or else I have to hurry.

About 35ish miles each way plus whatever runarounds/site visits I need to do at work. If I'm out the door at 0600 like I usually try to be, it's about 50 minutes in a car. If I leave any later than 0630 it can be two hours. On a motorcycle it's about 45-50 minutes regardless of traffic. . .

depends which office, mode of transportation, and time of day. Going to main campus it is about 12 miles, and it is between 15 to 30 minutes. On the bike it is never over 20 minutes as I can lane split on the freeway.

The Marina office is 8 miles, and is anywhere between 15 to 45 minutes. The trip is on the 405 in one of the worst sections. On the bike it is never more than about 25 minutes, but the splitting is slow because they've shrunk down the lane width due to construction. Side streets are about the same. In the car at peak traffic, it can take 45 minutes. Surface streets cut a little off of that, more or less depending on which ones I take. Navigating traffic in SoCal is a little bit cat and mouse.

But if I work at home its a tad shorter, and working from Peets is a 10 minute walk. That is the preferred writing location...

Depending on the contract, its either 7800 or 6400 miles. Stay out a month or two then back for one to two off...

Jean, Nevada to either Van Nuys or Redondo Beach, California.

334 miles one way.

On a bike is 4 hours each way.

In the 911 or the Prius is 3+45. Fuel burn in the Prius or the bikes averages 47 - 49-ish at 80+MPH.

In the 911, with the air going, at 80+ is still 3+45, but mileage is 20-ish.

I only do this twice a month, thank gawd.
