Im ashamed to be represented by this guy. From groping Angela Merkel to running away from the press, he's just not the right guy for the job.

Did you see his comments at lunch? Amazing.

“You eight hours? Me too. Russia’s a big country and you’re a big country. Takes him eight hours to fly home. Not Coke, diet Coke. … Russia’s big and so is China. Yo Blair, what’re you doing? Are you leaving...”

Granted if true the response (by Hezbollah) was inappropriate, but it does cast a pall of doubt upon the "legitimacy" of Israel's action. It takes two to tango. Personally I think we should pull our people out and discontinue any and all aid to both countries.
Actually I did but haven't seen anything beyond the CNN note on it. But haven't been searching either.

That's for sure.

What's up with all the recent really bad Bush photo's lately?

I love it.

I think you are mightily mistaken, MichiganMat....he has been the right man for the job for the past 6 years!!!!! Don't forget we put him there....we must take responsibility for him…not blame him.

Please, if you think that you are better, run for the office, otherwise STFU. After 6 years you guys still do not have anyone who is ready to stand up and take the position from the Repubs. Thats right, take it from us as we are not going to just give it away like you Democrats want. You guys just sit around and moan instead of getting a platform, finding a candidate and making it work.

This circle jerk of liberals is just amazing, watching each of you guys get off on each others blubbering, slobering CF.

It makes the rest of us ashamed to be around...

I won't go there because it is unsafe. It's not some big secret. If they want to go somewhere they shouldn't go then they are on thier own!

As for the rest of your foolish statements, no comment. I don't want to encourage you.
The state department issues travel warnings to unsafe areas:

http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/tw/tw_1764.html

Were lebanon and Israel on that list prior to this current crisis?

IF they were then I would have some hesistation at asking people to pay for rescue but I would probably only ask for the going commercial rate and absorb the rest. If they were not on the list however I would not expect them to pay anything. They are americans; we take care of our own kind. Don't we?

Or have we all of a sudden caught a case of the darwins?

I know a couple who divide their time between here (America) and Egypt. That is their business, their commerce and their lifestyle. Like you.

We can call them idiots if you like, but I just wanted to check with you first to see if you are comfortable with that label.

And the rest of you who think everyone should pay as they go.....for diplomatic attention overseas, or for fire protection for your home, or perhaps having exclusively toll-roads, toll-sewers and toll-police. You need to get together with FastPat. That's his position.

The rest of us prefer to pool our money and build our own sewer systems, rather than being bent over by commercial interests. Halliburton will be looking for revenue when this Iraq thing winds down. Perhaps you'd like to sell them a road system so they can charge you tolls.
I flew in, did what I needed to and flew right back out. These people are for the most part going to school or taking a vacation there. This is not a vacation spot, or MIT, its half populated by terrorists.

I am very comfortable with that label. Let me give everyone a clue, Lebanon is populated by terrorists. So is Syria and Iraq and I would not send a kid there to attend college either unless I was an idiot.

Slopat lives in a fantasy world. Mine is a lot more in touch with reality as I end up going to most of these places. Just got a call a bit ago and may be leaving tomorrow for a trip to Geneva then Turkey. Slopat is stuck in Travelers Rest...

Mike,

Thats one good site to check when heading overseas but those of us who do it for a living do not stop there.

The CIA Fact book is a good one, as is the department of state for Germany, Israel and England. They all have advisories for their citizens and tend to have more current information than the link above.

Seeing the CNN report stating $150-$200 I don't see where the outrage is coming from. If I were in the state department I don't think I would "waive" regardless of the media coverage or the state on the travel list of the particular country.

Ambulances charge your insurance company (or you) for being transported to a hospital. What's the difference generally?

I stand by my previous statement.

I know several Lebanese citizens, both Muslim and Christian, neither of them had the remotest idea the Israeli's were going to attempt to destroy the infrastructure of the entire country.

The Israeli's need to pay big time for their terrorism, maybe flattening about half of Tel Aviv.

Riiiight. You have the scope and feel of a country locked in by visiting the various airports located in them.

Sheesh, what a maroon.

And how do you know just what I do when I travel to any country, ya maroon?

I have spent more time living and working in Beirut in the last year than I have at my home but telling maroon's like you that would go in one ear and out the other...

OMG......This is a parts website...right???!!!!

I took a stand, but this is starting to get out of control. I am sure CNN (Communist News Network) has a blogging page that would be a more appropriate venue for this discussion!

Yes Dad. I guess this means I can't borrow the car on Friday, huh?

Now, about that ignore thing. You're right, its not a button, but more a series of clicks. Its pretty simple, heres how it works:

First you click here:

And then here:

Until finally you see this:

See, that wasn't so hard.
