Should the US first strike Iran?

No question about it. Give them an ultimatum...be very clear the consequences...then make a strike all nuclear and military facillities in an all-out air campaign. Do not be lured into any sort of ground war. Perhaps the opressed citizens will rise up and dispatch the hardliners. One can only hope. As far as them coming after our folks in Iraq...what would be new there? They already are. Like Isreal, we just have to pretend they are not.

Its very easy! One airstrike from a descent altitude to land a "blue bomb" (dummy) a mile away from Mecca. This shows them that we "are there and can reach out and touch them" with a visual target. They do not grasp concepts very well but one photo of a blue bomb lying close to the center of Mecca should do it.

Then tell everyone in the world that from now on we will have one aircraft with two nukes orbiting over this site, 24 hours a day. One weapon on board is targeted for the obelisk at Mecca and the other for Tehran. You start acting up and we drop these two and send the signal for a round of ICBM's until the job is done, anywhere and everywhere in the world its needed. Get your followers under control or we will eliminate the world as you know it.

Otherwise just tell the Israeli Air Force to go for it and let them do what they have wanted to do for years. "Cleared in hot, TOT Tehran of your choice, range is clear"....

I wonder how we Americans would react if the Iranians did the same thing to us. Would we quietly sit down and accept our new tyrant or would we rise and fight with all we got? I reckon that even to most peaceful among us will do the latter.

The action you've proposed is unlawful under US law, and therefore cannot lawfully take place.

That would virtually guarantee that the muslim countries, worldwide, will acquire nukes, and then threaten massive retaliation if what you propose is ever carried out.

The next president will either be Hillary (puke) or Jeb Bush (double puke). If it's the former, you can bet we WON'T be attacking Iran and that Iran will likely become a nuclear power. If it's the latter, you can probably safely bet that we WILL preemptively strike Iran with greivous consequences worldwide.

I'm not a real optomist for the future of the U.S. on the global stage. Our predilection for offering choices of "the lesser of two (or more) evils" during elections is going to bite us in the ass in a big way and unfortunately I feel this will be sooner rather than later.
