Sometimes everything sucks

Sometimes things just blow.

Girlfriend of 5 years said see ya later.

Dropped a bunch of OC-3 traffic on the DCS 3/1 and my boss is pissed off.

Find out your dog is sick after leaving him with friends so you could take some ****ty job in st paul.

Do ya ever just wanna say god-damnit anyways.

ugh

Try and turn a negative or two into positives.
Its all you can do.
Get a better girlfriend...work things out on the job.

Hope your dog gets better.

Yep...life is. But hang in there, okay? I suffered a broken engagement long long ago. I thought my love life was over, would never find it again. Oh, I got plenty of sex, but love? I was pretty convinced that was gone from my life. A few, well, okay more than a few, girlfriends later, I met Cindy. Game over. But that was okay, I'd been getting tired of playing it...

One positive, if your into cute blonds with blue eyes the Twin Cities are the place to be. The nightlife is awesome and the people are fun.

Actually my friend the worst part of your story is the sick dog. Only the dog will forgive you any mistake you make and only the dog will be loyal to you forever.

Sure hope the dog gets better.

I don't know what your attitude is about this sort of thing, but I always look at adversity this way:
If bad things get dumped on me I know God will always be there to help me get through it.
Sometimes he does it to help me build character and strength. Kind of like lifting weights to build strong muscles, sometimes we have to endure hardship to have strength of character.

It's a test, a contest. It is a short term challenge that will measure who you are. Go after it as if it were an important football game or something like that. Fight back, get through it, grow and become stronger.
In the long run you will be better off, why get depressed?

I've come to the position that life is too short to be having bad days. I may have bad things happen that day but I was still glad to be around for the ride.

The dogs name is Buck. He has been having trouble holding his bladder lately. 12 year old choc lab, he is my hunting buddy.

My mother is taking him to the Vet on Monday.

Thanks for all the kind words, I appreciate it.

Buck has had a good life hunting with you. 12 years is a long time for any dog. When and if the time comes, do the right thing for Buck. Sometimes it's hard to let go but you have to consider the quality of life he will have. Henry, Buddy and I are keeping you and Buck in our thoughts. We wish you strength and the best of luck. I thought I was losing Big Henry a few weeks ago, our friends here were overwhelming in their support. In the end henry had a serious intestinal infection and he pulled through I'm glad to say. It was a painful and anxious 2 weeks.
I hope our good fortune comes your way.

There is always a better life through pharms (ask me how I know!).

Seriously, this time of the year is normally worse than anyother for many reasons not to mention all the crap you are going through now. The upside - its over. What is done is done. There is most likely little (or nothing) you can actively do about any of the ****.

Girlfriend of 5 years said see ya later. - There is 3 billion more to investigate. She may have had some good things going for her but she had some **** that drove you nutz as well and in the back of your head you often said "I could do better than this..." To he11 with her. Let her make some other stiff miserable!

Dropped a bunch of OC-3 traffic on the DCS 3/1 and my boss is pissed off. - oh well, the job sucks anyway and the boss is a tool. You can do better here as well.

Find out your dog is sick after leaving him with friends so you could take some ****ty job in st paul. - At least he's alive. And St Paul is better than Cedar Rapids or Souix Falls!

Hay Slak, when life gives you lemons...jam them up somebodies arse!

sorry to hear about ti, slak..it's mightily tough to take losing someone you love. wish i had some good words of advice about it..all i know is that it takes time for the pain to go away. there's no shortcut to skipping the sadness over lost love. it sounds trite, but so much better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. there are those who never love..there's is the more tragic story..in my eyes anyway.

St. Paul is heaven for an unatached reasonable successful and attractive male. I am married.

Drop me a note and I'll still show you around. It's a great place.

As usual, good advice here. I sort of learned that change offers the opportunity for change for the better. So when something like that happens to me, I am determined to upgrade. Most of the time we become comfortable with a situation and just go along with it instead of looking for improvement. Good luck & hope Buck gets better. My cat is almost 20 and going down hill, which bums me out. It's a heart breaker that dogs only last 8 to 15 years at the most.

The DCS (daks) 3/1 muxes DS-1 to DS-3 or OC-3 and the other way around too.

Take 155Mbit/s and figure out how many 64k channels you could fit in it. Thats how many people I potentally cut off.

But it was not all telephone traffic I would guess. Some of it was prolly fat guys looking at porn, in their underwear. The outage only lasted a minute or 2.

MRM I appreciate that, PM sent.
