I smoked part of a a cigarette on a dare when I was about 10...probably didn't inhale. Just curious...isn't recreational drug use a pretty expensive hobby?

good gram of weed is about 20 dollars
shake is about 10-15
if your not a complete pot head that will last you a while

acid tabs are about 8 bucks a pop

narcotics is where it gets expensive, but those arent normally for recreation

This is interesting. I figured most folks did not do this stuff after high school. So I assume that most folks here don't get random drug testing at work...I am tested quite often..."randomly"...especially since I bought a Porsche.

I get brutally depressed 2 days after I smoke pot, every single time, without exception. It took awhile to notice the correlation, but now that I figured it out I probably won't smoke it again. The comedown is just too much for me to handle. That, and Im pretty much useless as an engineer for those days. Sweet.

I did try some 'shrooms on the playa at the '06 Burn and that was an amazing experience, really cool stuff. I may do them again, but not until next years Burn, no reason otherwise. Other than that, no pills, powders, or needles for me, no way.

Random drug testing it quite 'random'. Really depends the company. Quite rare in the tech industry, at least here is Seattle.

Then again, companies that simply have dress codes are considered really ridged here.

I think there is actually a lot more drug use in college rather than high school. Kids have more freedom, and frequently more expendable income.

There are few marijana smokers in our office. Quite open about it.

you'de never get that passed in Europe, no way
employers can get you for bad performance, flakey behaviours, thieving adn everything that could come from chronic drug abuse, but having a trace resididu in yer piss is not enough to sack a person over here...

yeah those are very very cheap prices for that stuff right now.

and yes I would say most people buy by the gram, then if they want more an 8th, then a quad, then half O, then full O. And thats how people call it.

Shake is another term for schwag, or in other words when people store weed in jars or whatever, some shake falls off the buds and falls to the bottom. After a while you bag that up and sell for real cheap to use them for blunts, spliffs or joints.

schwag is about 200 bucks an ounce which is the bottom of the line, at least in Los Angeles. (its probably different in many areas)

don't forget caffeine... probably the biggest upper out there, millions of people are hooked on it

( i quit coca-cola completely a few months after i quit the ciggies, and never drank coffee anyway, you get major headaches if you quit caffeine cold turkey, so it's definately addictive with withdrawel symptoms)

LOL shake was $15 an ounce (and I am in Los Angeles) of course "back in the day" when I would buy those $50 bags of Mexican we would go over to the guys house and he would have a garbage bag full of weed and let us make up our own "lids".

I imagine that doesn't happen anymore... now it's all about the Benjamen's.
