I also visited Kevin's shop this weekend. Went by on Saturday morning to get a feel for early 911/912 restoration. I'm shopping for an SWB 911 and wanted to learn about the work Kevin does. I liked the shop and had a good time. Thanks for the tour and the education Kevin.
Still looking for my SWB.
Jeff

It is! I see him at the shop on the weekends too!

Kevin, what are you thinking! Leave your shop alone for the weekend.

Your Welcome Jeff. It was nice to have you stop by. Would you be interested in a '68 911 Soft Window Targa?
Dave: Sometimes it improves my attitude towards this place if I come in and spend time playing with no pressure projects (Yenko 'Vair). Or like this weekend I installed a washer and dryer in the shop. The new apt has only two machines and at least half of the 20 apts has two or three generations occupying. That keeps the laundry room busy most of the time. I figured I may as well do my laundry while I'm working. Plus if I keep it here at the shop and don't admit to doing anything 'cept shop towels, it's a tax deduction.

No thanks Kevin. I'll keep looking for my coupe. Thanks anyway.
Jeff

No religious implications here. It's all about LEBOWSKI.

I have a lovely knitted red scarf for when it's chilly.

Thanks!

As far as Banning's Porsche goes... I'm thinking that it will go to auction when someone pulls the steering wheel out of his cold, dead hand. Until then, it lives on Mulholland.

That's not the Jeep I thought you were going to buy. How does that give you any more room? Seems it will be harder to get things in and out, 'specially since that thing isn't sitting at the stock ride height. You just wanted a bigger carbon footprint!

It's not the Jeep the I thought I'd buy either!
Chalk it up to another impulse buy.
Besides, I drove a Cherokee, and it just really bored the crap out of me.
Actually though, pull the rear seat out and there's a lot more room back there than expected.

Somewhere, there is a picture of me driving a jeep through a river, well, a stream in the Rockies...

Speaking of carbon footprint, I'm headed out to the garage now to see if the new motor is going to start. Cross your fingers or whatever else you do in hopes that she runs as intended and doesn't leak oil out of one of the thousands of orifices!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1203031523.jpg

For those of us who are concerned about our personal carbon footprints in the sands of time...

TerraPass

Buy your way to environmental redemption. Makes more sense than wasting your money on a Prius.

lfot 02-14-2008 03:03 PM

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!

It only took 1 year and 1 month for this thread to finally get moved to OT.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Is it because I mentioned something leftist like TerraPass?

slodave 02-14-2008 03:07 PM

Naw, it had been moved before you posted that. It was a good run.
