Chris,
Those are the same pads I have on my car. Freakin' awesome!

Also, I believe that's Dave B's GT2 replica.

I can't wait to try them.

Also, some of the artwork behind the smiling face of Jeremy belongs to Radu I believe. Awesome stuff, wish I could afford some for myself!

Porsche Crest Brake pads

Here are the men of the hour, Dave B. and Jeremy C.
Thank you again for your help and council.

While leaving I couldn't help but notice the unique hose reel hanging in the back. Very cool.

Thanks John.
There aren't many photos of the wheels before they were polished, but here is one.
This photo was taken in early 1976 while still in primer. The Goodyear Blue Streaks are brand new (the ones that are still on the car, but not for long ).

In this photo you can see the rake of the windshield. It is facing up more than forward and looks more like a canopy than a windshield. The cowl panel is ramped.
With all the drip rails flashed off, the rear window brought flush with the body, and the rocker panels left off and smoothed under the doors, it adds to a different look.

Some extra time was needed to decide on what color to paint the car after having to reform the window frames to fit the modified roofline.
Originally the car was slate grey which is a great color, especially on a 356.

Around that time the silver Martini Porsches were very popular and boy did they look great.
Besides I always loved silver on a Porsche. It reminds me of a spaceship.

Sweet... thanks for posting that, Chris.

Did she make a few runs while dressed in primer?

Yes, it was fun to see how the Carrera handled and drove during the completion stages.
As I recall they were just short runs however.

I think the link is not taking me to where you had hoped. No pictures of anything.

I already read your thread. I'm still curious on the radio delete though....

...Now to the Radio Delete. I went to Home Depot and bought a vinyl drain grate with a 3" lip and a slightly smaller recess that was almost the exact same size as the VDO clock.

Derek, you might want to reread the paragraph right above the pic of the 3M spray....

You know, I was going to make a smart-assed comment along the lines of "who are those pudgy grey-haired balding guys", then I looked in the mirror.

Groan,

And just to show you that grey-haired balding guys can still be quick, here is the evergreen Hans-Joachim Stuck describing a record lap at the Nordschleife.
