Ran across her last night. Stopped at a new overlook named Sheens Ravine:D. No traffic last night either.

I just noticed today that a decent stretch of Mul Hwy has been resurfaced, between Las Virgenes and Kanan (possibly more but I did not venture too far.) It was in very poor condition before, so this is awesome news. Except for the part about the gub'mint borrowing money to do the work...

They are in the process of patching/ resurfacing sections of Stunt, Shueren, and Piuma as well. Climbed Stunt on the mountain bike yesterday, much better than it was, but it will never be as fast as the pre 100 years rains of 06.

Bus Stop

We are seeing the Mulholland Tour Busses stop here now on a regular basis, lol.
Wonder what they are saying to the folks on the Bus about the sign. ;)

Chris Banning,

Is there an estimated completion date for the new version of the Mulholland Book?

I know you always have multiple projects going on, so the book isn't always on the top of the list.

It ould be nice to have some idea when it might be available (Xmas presents this year?).

Thanks.

For the past few months while re-doing my driveway entrance the Carrera has been unable to leave due to ground clearance. It should be back on Mulholland soon and I will be able to take photos then. I'll post some pix when they become available. Thanks for your interest.

Believe me, it's constantly on my mind and tugging away at me.

It was intended that in January the book's completion would continue until done. However 6 months was needed to do construction of my front entrance. I will start again soon.

All editing of completed text was finished in January. But we are not going to publish another "Mulholland Experience" lol. Boring and a mistake I believe.

Something much better must be created. With critique from this thread and other sources all issues have been addressed. Many more photos, more accurate maps and time-lines, and much more interesting stuff will be included. More people's stories and lore, more history of earlier groups, and current info also will be added.

This will be the book about Mulholland, and a book that I will be proud to have created.

Progress will be posted here.

Keep working 'round the clock!! She's been away from her REAL home WAYYYY too many nights. If I lived in LA I would offer my assistance to help with your driveway but I guess I'll just have to give you a "best of luck." Looking forward to the pictures, I drool every time I see a new one.

On my way home from Beverly Hills tonight...

I can't believe it's still there! :D It is a bit hard to see if you're not paying attention.

I was laughing for the remainder of the drive home.

Chris, I was going to call, see if I could stop by for a few, but I needed to get home. I'm going to Blythe in the morning, but may have a little time in the afternoon. I'll try and give a call.

Porsches at Greystone

This Sunday is the Zone 8 Concours at the Greystone Mansion. Free to attend and lot's of fun. The Carrera won 2nd place it it's catagory last year at this venue. It's visible in the backround of the upper left hand photo on the invitation flyer.
I won't be attending this year as a participant as we are still land-locked in the garage for about another month. But if anyone wants to go, I recommend it.
Jane and I will probably be there for a couple of hours, before it gets too hot. (last year the heat roasted my windshield rubber from black to white)

Whether it's a Ferrari or Porsche event, it's nice to see Auto Gallery stepping up to offer a lot of support to the local car scene.

My turn. I broke my tranny at the AX today. On my 10th and last practice lap, I could no longer shift into 2nd. No timed runs for me today, but the new tires and rims were working for me. Every lap a second or two off the last. Brought it from a 72.xx to a 67.xx on the 9th.

I drove the car home with a partial 1st and solid 3rd and 5th. The good news, it looks like it was only the bushings in the shift coupler that disintegrated. One of the other PCA guys had a new one at home (close to Cal Speedway), so I followed him and have the new one to install.

Oh yeah, there was about 75 miles of driving to get the car home. Fun!

Sorry I didn't make it Alereck. Jane recruited two of her friends to help pour concrete in the driveway today.
It was lot's of fun watching the neighbors gawk at three babes in thong bikinis mixing redi-crete for me. lol. It was a hot day and her petite friends looked real sweaty in their little bikinis. lol. and Vasna was wearing 3" heels while mixing concrete. ha!

No photos, sorry. I guess I was too distracted...

Larry took some photos from today's event, I will post later.

Sorry, still distracted...too much fun...

Didn't know concrete could be so pleasurable.
