I feel bad for saying this, but with all of the windows rolled up when I saw it, I forgot to actually look thru the window at the interior! Duh!

Do you have any pictures? Or this weekend is the Luftgekghlt show at the Lumber yard, will it be there?

Whoever this is, the locals on Mul are really pissed off with you and are circulating this photo. Apparently, you have been seen crossing the double yellow and blowing through stop signs late at night, at full speed.
They are mobilizing and have alerted the local police, who now have your license plate.

I'm not judging but you might take it easy and find another racetrack for a while.

Next door what?

Noah930 06-27-2018 02:53 PM

Nextdoor.com is a neighborhood message system. You sign up, and you're connected (or on a message board) for the local neighborhoods. So if you need a recommendation for a plumber, or note shady characters in the neighborhood, or want to complain about a neighbor who walks a dog but doesn't pick up their dog waste, etc. People have also complained about street racing or dangerous driving. People will post pics of the offenders, such as if they catch up with the scofflaws (sorry, Urban Outlaws TM) at a red light. Didn't know if that's where you heard of this or found the above pic.

mrbeverlyhills 06-27-2018 03:55 PM

Aha, got it. No, the residents of Laurel Canyon have their own facebook page. All of your post plus ratting out who puts ****bags in the blue bins or wants to rescue a 3 legged chihuahua, bake sales at Wonderland school.
They are pretty well organized and have local law at stop signs during the school year, not at 12:30 am when our friend screams through the canyon. But he has been frequent enough to have caused quite a stir and if the law has your plate already via the above photo, you should probably lay low for a while.

Thing is, I live right off Mul, love to get an open stretch and give the 964 some Wellington Boot, but going over the double yellow is not just a Bozo no no, it is a sign of limited skill. I don't really want to come around the corner and find some clown in my lane. It happens enough with the tour busses which seemingly can only reach 15mph max.
If anyone knows this guy, treat him to a PCA autoX or a track day before they have to tow his car up from a ravine.

The accused driver with the 1988 Carrera is already in the system. Yes its time to stay low.

On the other hand the picture doesn't do justice or support any illegal activity. You can see he is at a controlled intersection with the soft red traffic lamp glow in the upper left corner and green traffic light reflections adjacent to.

Until someone produces a video with the vehicle in the act, identifier (license plate), drivers face clearly shown, bonafide speed reader the most that will happen is a courtesy door knock and a verbal.

This will take valuable resources away from the serious offenses.

I cruised Mul from Laurel over to the 405 Sat afternoon heading back to Bako from the Petersen. Lots of familiar curves especially when I used to ride with the Velo club La Grange.

sugarwood 06-28-2018 02:46 PM

Right, but it does mean he will get a serious ball busting if he gets pulled over.

Filming on Mulholland

Found this on my Gatepost yesterday.
It appears we will have some Car stunts and Car crashing on Mulholland.
I hope I will be able to leave my house if needed since I'm located in their "Course".
Might be fun to check out.

I would think they would want the most famous 911 on Mulholland on 911 on Mulholland.

Noah930 07-17-2018 07:55 PM

^^^^ Jim!!! How's Austin? Have a friend who moved there last year. He had a silk screening set-up with which he used make t-shirts on the side. I always thought that with your design skills and his equipment, you guys could be the Magnus Walker/blipshifters of Texas.

nameisbauer 07-18-2018 07:05 AM

I don't know how to take that last statement, but thanks? Texas is hot, Porsche scene is better than I thought it would be. Its no Mulholland though. back to your regularly scheduled bantor (banningtor?)

Noah930 07-22-2018 03:26 PM

Why, for the love of God, would you close Laurel Canyon for a street fair?

mrbeverlyhills 07-22-2018 03:32 PM

Love St Festival, tribute to the Doors, lots of live bands, some quite notable including Robbie Krieger, food, dancing, a market. Once a year, its a lot of fun, especially if you can walk there.

Noah930 07-22-2018 06:18 PM

In the past, did they not close Laurel Cyn for this festival? I don't remember them doing that in the past.

100% correct, from experience! I had a knock on the door just because I shared history, and our course maps over on Turnbull Canyon! I never share any pictures up, on the cars up there! Or video!!!
