I should be there too.

lfot 10-04-2007 05:51 PM

I'm there, dudes. I'm going to get there early to try and get a primo parking spot. Probably around 4:00 or 5:00.

lfot 10-04-2007 05:52 PM

Just thought maybe the older car would be more fitting for the given environment.:D

Turns out that the co-owner of the company that I am doing work for, knows something about Mulholland. I had my laptop open and since my homepage is the tech forum, he saw and we ended up talking.... I mentioned Mulholland Drive and he says "I used to be in a group called the MRA and I drove a 356 (and other cars) up there in the 50's and 60's." Shocked, I said "Mulholland Racing Association?" His reply was "Yup." He started into stories and cars. He's owned Porsches, Ferraris, Cobras - real and more. I never expected this. He is very soft spoken and did not seem like the type. He apparently still keeps in contact with a few MRA guys.

I'd love to go, but I think 6 would be the earliest. How long does it go for? Maybe if I can get to work early I can get out early.

gostraight 10-05-2007 01:15 AM

ahhh... look at all the good stuff I missed. My computer went belly up four days ago and I wasn't able to check the thread. Yes those are my new seats:eek: I know:rolleyes: what can I say?

Banning, thanks for all the help this past two days. Actually I have to thank Jane first for canceling her appoints, and allowing the boys to spend countless hours in the garage.
Chris, the seats are beyond awesome! The new sitting position, and hight made a huge difference- I'm guessing a minimum of 5-10 seconds were shaved over the length of the course. Being able to actually see the hood and the fender humps again, combined with the right (snug) seating position, brought back my confidence. It's hard to describe the amount of feedback that a you get when your body is one with the car.
it's past 2:00 am now but I will continue this tomorrow. hope to see some of you @ Big Boy.

Last time we left around 11:00pm and it was just winding down.
I just show up early to get a parking spot.
It's pretty rediculous when people REALLY start showing up.

You are most welcome Radu. I'm very happy that you are enjoying your new racing seats. It was fun working with you. I'll try to give you every advantage before we race our Porsches on Mulholland. It's the least that I can do, Buddy. ;)
