I don't get a headache from Stoli. In fact, I think it prevents them.

Not that I get many headaches, how would I know if I get a migraine? I had the idea they came on a regular basis.

I wouldn't call a week or less "quitting".
I'm just sayin...forever is a long, long time. But if you get continued severe headaches without a prior history, it certainly would not hurt to consult a doc, just to be safe.

I feel sorry for people that do not drink. When they wake up in the morning thats as good as they will feel all day - Frank Sinatra?
I am pouring a glass..... I forgot why....

Did you have 2-3 glasses of wine every night, at about the same time? If so, your body might have gotten into the routine of having alcohol at a certain time every day. Alcohol is not very CHEMICALLY addictive if compared to, for example, caffeine, nicotine, heroin, cocaine, etc., but it isn't impossible to get physically addicted (most alcohol dependency issues are stated to be emotional/mental/psychological).
I do drink somewhat often (4 days a week or so), but rarely more than 3 drinks (almost always beer or wine) and usually just one. I am, however, hopelessly addicted to caffeine. If I don't have a big dosage of coffee by about 9:30 AM, i get splitting headaches. I need another dosage between 3-5 PM. I really would like to kick this habit, but the health dangers aren't as pressing as, say, cigarettes (or harder drugs, obviously). As an aside, it's interesting that caffeine addiction is one of the very few chemical addictions that is perfectly culturally acceptable. I guess it's because it is very difficult for a body to OD on caffeine (the body gets uncomfortable - "jittery" - if it's had too much), and people function fine (sometimes better - caffeine DOES increase mental processing powers, however briefly) - while on it.

Just advise her that anyone who has a headache for longer than a day or so (not to mention 18 months) has a medical issue and WILL be going to the hospital. While at the hospital you will be discussing the situation with the nurses. If she is smart she will wise up, otherwise, go and check out the nurses. They will be able to help you one way or the other.

Yea, I quit drinking last tuesday, but by friday (tonight) I started having another one. I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal labotomy. But hey, good for you to stop now, it really is no good.

A co-worker told me about this. Ever drink so much that when you lay down in bed the room spins? Me too. If you "Throw an Anchor" it will stop, its quite simple, take one foot off the bed and put in on the floor. It works I swear! That is throwing an anchor. This how to drink heavily tip was brought to you buy Four Roses whisky. Have a nice night.
