What happened to the opiate thread?

Who crossed the line and how?

a) I was personally offended by pat's thinly veiled insinuations and ill-informed misanthropic posts (so I reported it to myself).
b) pat engaged in personal attacks
c) i'm in a cranky mood

so i sent it to the corn field. And now I'm taking my own advice and getting the hell out of here and spend time doing something vaguely productive.

Good, now that you feel the way the majority of us feel about most of his posts on the OT forum, feel free to reload and fire again.

mmmmmmm, Opiates.

Used to be able to get some REALLY good opium in Bed Sty.

But that was 20 years and a lifetime ago. And hash, killer blond.

Remember when you could roll 20 out of a nickle bag?

Panama Red, Panama Red
He'll steal your woman, then he'll rob your head
Panama Red, Panama Red
On his white horse, Mescalito
He come breezin' through town
I'll bet your woman's up in bed with
Panama Red

God, almost forgot about peyote buttons, mescaline and shrooms.

Want an all night woodie? Hit of mesc and a bottle of wine, yeah boy.

Good times.

Enjoying an especially nice Cab right now. Better for you, legal and no ones looking to bust a cap in yo ass while shopping for it.

I had 20 minutes into a post on Pituitary atrophy as it pertains to Opiate abuse and it's long term impact on one's ability to naturally manage pain. Hit submit to find out it had been wished away to the corn field.

No worries... That guy would have said I was full of ***** anyway. Who knows... I probably am...

It was an obvious trolling gesture from the start and only posted to further his myoptic view of the world. He posts something clearly controversial and then shlts on everyone who replies to the post. WTF

I have to admit that thread had me pissed enough to just shut off the computer and go to bed. Probably not a bad thing.

Whether or not I agree with him, Pat often expresses interesting perpectives on issues. Not so much with that one.

Jake,

I have to agree but dammit he trolls so much that when 99.9% of his posts are pure BS designed to incite riot or discourse that I almost never even open them. On average one or two of the things that he posts is interesting, but he shoots himself in the foot so often with the 99 other posts that its not worth our time to weed through them.

Miscreant.

Hey, my big brother got to do a story on the bus. Apparently the real one is rotting away in a field and some one has re-created an imposter, in an effort to relive the cross country journey. I can't remember all of the details, but then again, neither can they...

the trip happened before the law caught on to what going on a trip meant. Guys like KK were the early opinion leaders of today's baby boomers.

I am grateful to have had the opportunity to, uh, "party" in the bus back in college. It was rotting away in the middle of a field on Kesey's farm in Pleasant Hill, OR. Ken Babbs was hanging out with Kesey that night, telling stories from back in the day. A magical evening, indeed.

So you partied on Ken Kesey's bus and are now a loyal foot soldier for the Frat Boy President and an aplogist for the war in Iraq?

I would love to hear about your epiphany. What happened?

Pat is an interesting anomaly. Sort of like Benny Hinn. I think it's best to simply ignore him as I think his main goal is to do exactly that he is doing - getting you guys riled up.

That is part of it. But my desire to rid the planet of oppressive dictatorships and freeing people from the enslavement of pre-enlightened religious domination is as liberal as one can be. I'm all about freedom of conscience. And most on this planet don't have it, like we do. That's not right.
