I am a fan of the Boxster- great cars, best "affordable" roadster out there- (Elise is sweet too)-- anyway, we all know of the horrid 959 kits etc that have ruined good ol 911's over the years- so sad to see a "good one" go down, sacrificial lamb . . .

I laughed out loud when I saw this- I mean, really, this is skimpy- reminds me of those guys who pretend they're all buff and walk around all flexed up with their arms all raised even though they are 160 pound wimps- not that the Boxster is a wimp (they're great!) but really, it's no Carrera GT, what is really? There is no substitute . . .

Seriously, from a distance (say, Guatemala), in the right light (new moon at midnight), if you squint (with welders goggles on) it does look a bit like a GT. Kinda like how most chicks look better at closing time I guess.

It actually isn't that bad-- besides pretending to be something it isn't and lots of people on this board are guilty of that (think RSR, RS, R replicas). Before I get thrown off this board, I agree an RS replica is slightly different but still in the same vein of making the car look like something it isn't.

BTW, 75% of people wouldn't know that his car is not a Carrera GT....

An RS replica is just that, something that at least visually reasonably replicates an RS.

To call that Boxster a "replica" of a Carrera GT is a joke.
