Hand him over to the parents and spouses of those killed in the 9/11 attacks and after 5 minutes in a closed room we would have known everything , but then the liberals like you would jump up and down because that would be "inhumane" treatment of these terrorists who killed thousands of innocent people in COLD BLOOD.

The powers that be knew this information years ago but the public had no "need to know" so it was not released. What is being done is video and paper documentation of their confessions are being turned over to the Govt and world press to show why we are not going to close Gitmo. This is a show done to shut up the liberals who feel that Gitmo needs to be closed.

Didn't the victims of 9/11 and their families deserve to have justice? Why did the "power that be" let a known mass murderer live on?

The timing of this is really pretty surprising. Right about the time that there is a lot of criticism about the hearings being being closed, this gem comes up. As I recall, KSM is one of the magic 14, the worst of the very worst that we sent to various places to use more "aggressive" techniques on. Do I think this guy is really bad? Sure. It just surprises me that after all of the years of forcing information out of him that it is suddenly announced that he is THE guy. This really smells like a way of boosting approval by the public for our Gitmo policies rather than a legit admission.

Did he do what he says he did or not? Who knows. I wouldn't trust much that comes out of the mouth of someone who has had been tortured.

Best thing to do is trivialize his statements, marginalize him and then quietly put a bullet in the back of his head a few months from now when nobody will hear about it or miss him.

The biggest enemy of a terrorist is making them irrelevant. The objective of terrorism is to create terror. If you're constantly ignored, it's hard to do that.

Lock his ass in a cell with no contact with the outside world, reporters, etc. Then convict/execute him and make the problem "just go away". No sensation, no glory, no martyrdom, no 72 virgins, no blaze of glory. Just quiet, unceremonious justice.

When everyone lies, is the truth somewhere in the middle? I don't think so, it may be way up/down or far right/left.

Maybe the truth is worth seeking out though the processes we have trusted for the last couple of hundred years.

These guys assume that some portions of the Americans will take that approach -- "the truth is somewhere in the middle". Proper gaming theory would dictate that you then tell the most outlandish lies that you can since it will skew public sentement in your favor versus the moderate (both Dem's and Rep's are moderate compared to these guys) American approach. As far as I'm concerned, he's an enemy combatant who should be held for the duration. Once the war is over, put him up on War Crimes and Crimes against Humanity -- just like the Nazis.

BTW, he seems way to willing to confess to any and every Al Quida operation that's ever happened, including the Bali Bombings. Before I believe him, I'd need to see some proof or coorilation with unpublished data before I give him credit for everything including David Pearl's beheading, the Bali Bombings and Global Warming.
