Jeff,
Just tell them you're hip to their jive and everything will be groovy!

BTW dude was from my generation (the 70's) DUDE! How about these kids rub a few brain cells together and come up with their own slang?

You mean like "dawg"?

I'd prefer to be called "dude" than compared to an animal that licks its own sweaty balls.

You see that's one I've never got.

Why is it that jeans aren't okay and slacks are? They're both pants.... who cares what fabric they are made of? Seriously. If it's because its "formal tradition" then why aren't we wearing powdered wigs? 'cause times change. I don't get it.

Comfortable employees ARE happier (me for one). ...but then I do work from home and have presentations to c-level exec's in my spiderman jammies.

I use the word dude a lot.

I used to be a stuffed shirt too, working for big corporations for years, I once wore a polo shirt to work and was spoken too.

I have a customer that is a very successful civil engineer in town, he was friend with the previous owner of my company. He wears Hawiian shirts, shorts and jesus sandles every day. We talked once about dress code and he said it was for the birds, nothing compares to being comfortable at work and being productive.

I wore flip flops, shorts and my Pelicans on the Dragon t-shirt to work Friday.

Dude, I might dress up Monday and wear sneekers.
