Happy 4th! Going to have the family around for the afternoon. Lots of food! I'm going to let the BBQ rest this year (supposed to rain, it hasn't stopped in 3 weeks!) and try my hand at making ice cream!!!

We have a parade here. My 11 y/o daughter is riding with a City Council member in her car for the parade. Pretty cool for her.

I'll drink beer most of the day and pass out 'round 3:00.

"Livin' in America...." James Brown hit.

Home made bread is rising, porterhouse steaks are marinating, 12 pack on ice, fresh sweet corn all shucked and ready for the pot.

I'm not leaving my property until I have to go to work tomorrow.

In the middle of a 12 hour shift at the Ol Graybar Motel today. I'll get home about 8 pm and then eat, light some stuff on fire and try to sleep through the rest of the fun. I have another 12 coming tomorrow. YAY PRISON!!

Hung out in London with my wife. Its her birthday on the 4th. Had a nice dinner, went to the theatre and saw "Billy Elliott" not a bad play. Tomorrow evening meeting with a few Aston Martin Owner's Club boys for drinks. Saw this infront of the hotel this afternoon. An Aston Martin Lagonda, four door. Looks a lot like a V8.

Peets in the AM, King Taco for lunch, hit an uneven piece of road on the 911 and knocked the right rear sway attachment backwards. Got home, jacked it up and put it back where it belongs (hello...Mr. Weltmeister...can you use METRIC fitings please?!?). Trying to decide whether it is worth it to try and get to Seal Beach to visit a friend for the night or just chill around the apartment.

Temp here at Tucson at $:45 was 109. The day started at 75 at dawn. That is when I do my yard work and shopping. The hot part of the day I do inside chores in a comfy 76 degrees. This is the hottest part of the year. Next week the highs are going to be in the very high 90s. I would rather suffer through 2 months of heat than the 5 months of Winter I lived through in the upper New York State area!!
