I don't need to take drugs to feel like an idiot.

I don't think youth is wasted on the young, our youths shape who we are, this is the time where people learn the most. I think its perfect that our bodies can take so much more than an elderly person while our minds are expanding at the same time. I know I fried some brain cells, but I honeslty feel smarter after I try something new no matter how bad it is for me physically. I hate ignorance, Id rather be be plain stupid than ignorant. I hate when people condem drugs when theyve never experienced if first hand. Of course there are exceptions (crack, meth, huffing toluene).

For those of you that have dabbled in lysergic, you know its hard to explain it to someone who hasnt tried it. For me its simple: it took me back to the mindset of my early childhood when simplicity made me happy. Now as i'm older I need a porsche to feel happy. I miss the old days where grass, air, energy and a ball made my day. Acid brought that back to me, im not dependent on it but i was nice to take a trip back to the simple life. Its amazing when you can stare at a chainlink fence and be occupied and happy. Thats why youth isnt wasted on the young, as a young person you dont need millions of dollars to be happy, you just need energy--which young people have plenty of.

There appears to be a variety of Salvia concentrations. The video posted above is 80x which is 80 times concentration - obviously, it looks pretty potent.

I quit using things that I can't control. With beer and such, I can say OK that's enough and whatever I drank 15 to 30 minutes ago is where I can leave it. LSD, shrooms, etc. You're stuck with whatever ride it wants to take you on.

Ive done it a few times and had fun every time. Im not condoning its use but you might want to try it once (with someone else there). It really opens up your mind and for a few minutes you seem to comprehend things that dont even exist (that doesnt make sense now but youll know what I mean at the time) You are sucked into another reality where reason or logic are out the window and anything is possible and totally beleivable. Best of all its over very soon if for some reason youre not enjoying it. Try it or dont but its certainly an experience that will legitimately leave you wondering if your current reality is really the only one to be seen. By the way, that second video might be the funniest thing I've ever seen. I laughed my butt off.

That's how I feel, even pot lasts too long for me. I finally got fed up with the potheads and acidheads, and moved on to something very short lived, but intense.

Yes, I was a nitroushead for a few months in college. At least you knew how long the trip was going to last...exactly 45 seconds. Assuming you woke up at the back end of it :eek:

That was some rotten stuff, when it was taking 3 days of class to recover from two days of weekend, it was too much.

I refused to do acid, I babysat too many people who were tripping, and when it was making ME ill watching them, I knew I wouldn't handle what *they* were watching.

What's up with the babysitting? We never had a sober person while we were tripping on acid or shrooms.

I used them all too. Maybe 300 hits of acid, god knows how much pot, mescaline, hashish and psilocybin. I joined the Army to get away from dope. There the drugs of choice were high quality hashish, opium, heroin and meth. Tried those too. And the early 80s were the cocaine years.

While I haven't used any drugs in twenty some odd years I think they were by and large good experiences and I'm glad I tried them. I did try to watch it and never go over (or get near) what I called the edge.

But I guess I grew out of it. Jimmy Carter was the worst psychedelic experience I ever had. I've voted Republican ever since. But still think most drugs should be legal.

Most often on shrooms/acid you have a sense of "being" or sentience. With salvia you can be completely gone. It would be very easy to jump off something or hurt yourself not knowing its dangerous or that you CAN be hurt. You also tend to get up and move around quickly bc sensations start coming at you pretty quick.

I just like watching the rediculous videos.....it's easier than working.

I think that kid is smarter than he looks -- or his friends are. IF you are going to mess up your head, somebody with their wits still about them should be there.

Also, note that yellow T-shirt kid immediately starts to analyze his sensory impressions as the drug wears off.

I hope he doesn't get permanently messed up before he realizes the dangers in experimental drug use...

Many drugs contain other compounds, even so-csalled natural drugs like pot -- it can be full of nasty herbicides sprayed from the air to kill it for example. LSD is notorious for containing adulterants, and some dangerous by-products, contaminants, etc..

Been there, still go there sometimes, but acid??? Nope not at 58!! My eyes have seen too much horror. Don't want that coming back anytime that I can't control it.,

I think I originally posted this due to something I saw on CNN. From the videos I have seen, I don't plan on smoking Salvia anytime soon. It looks like a lot of fun when you are sober and can laugh at these videos, but looks a little too incapacitating - even if it's only for a short time.

I was just questioning the sober person for 'shrooms or acid. We didn't want sober people around, as they had a tendency to screw with you and things could get rough.
