Salvia Divinorum. Wow! This is messed up.

Short term, hard core hallucinations. I've done a lot of things back in high school and college, but this stuff is wicked. The best part, it's still legal!

I'm pro pot, but geez, I have been watching a few videos on Youtube and can't believe what I see.

Shows some mild effects...

This one is longer, but he really trips out.

Wikipedia entry:
"Salvia divinorum originates from the region of Oaxaca in Mexico where it is still used by the Mazatec Indians, primarily to facilitate shamanic visions in the context of curing or divination, but also remedially at lower doses to treat ailments including diarrhea, anemia, headaches, rheumatism, and a semi-magical disease known as panzon de borrego, or a swollen belly.[10] It was first recorded in print by Jean Basset Johnson in 1939 as he was studying Mazatec shamanism.[11] He later documented its usage and reported its effects through personal testimonials.[12] It was not until the 1990s that the psychoactive mechanism was identified by a team led by Daniel Siebert.[13]
Flowering Salvia divinorum
Flowering Salvia divinorum

The history of the plant is not known, but there are three possibilities as to its origin. Since it is found in one small area and only one indigenous group uses it, it is either native to this area, is a cultigen of the Mazatecs, or is a cultigen of another indigenous group.[6] Wasson theorized that this plant was the mythological pipilzintzintli, the "Noble Prince" of the Aztec codices.[3] However, this theory is disputed."

For those with kids, be careful!

So, after that experience, would you do it again? I've been watching more and it seems very unexciting. It also seems that your friends have a good laugh at your expense as well.

I've shroomed, dropped acid, pot, coke etc... salvia was the worst by far, you feel like an idiot, no im not doing it again, i would try anything once (minus meth)...thats why i did it, ya my friends did laugh, but 10 minutes later i was laughing at them when they looked like a retard so who really cares.

Some of my friends liked it, but those who liked it havent really experiemented at all past pot, so salvia was probably more intense and revealing to them. I admit it completely took over my body, but after I just appreciated the wonders of lucy in the sky more and more. bottom line lucy is the only drug i will ever do again (besides pot, is it even a drug?).

Must be why the Mazatecs have risen to be such an economic, social, and political force in the world.

I think I'll get some and then watch that "I've got a crush on Obama" video about 100 times. Should be a thrill.

You must be younger than I am. There will come a day when you will stop doing "acid." You may continue to dabble in 'shrooms, but acid will become too harsh. The price you pay the next day will become too high. Unless of course your brain is much every day, in which case you may not notice this phenomenon, or any other for that matter. I'm not assuming anything or talking down to you. Just reporting that gray-haired guys with their brains still mostly intact find acid to be quite harsh, eventually.

They had one of the sidekicks on the Bubba the Love Sponge show do it. When he was tripping they started messing with him and that by itself was 10X more funny than what the stooge taking the drugs was doing.

I feel my 1st pole coming on.

You're right, I'm not even 20 years old yet. Chances are I won't do shrooms again, i've never had a bad trip...but I see shrooms as like rolling dice, one time you're just gonna flip out and cry in a corner--which I don't want to do. I see shrooms as bringing out dark parts of your life, I see acid as magnifying beauty in all aspects. LSD is pure beauty and art to me, and I went into it knowing what could happen if my mindset wasnt right, but I dont fear the drug whatsoever, I just have the right personality for it. I wouldnt recommend it to the unstable. I don't look at it the same way old folks do. The man who created lysergic diatheylmide (sp?) lived to be 100 years old. He fried more than I probably will ever be able to find it. It so rare that i'm not worried about it at all. I'm young, I can run for 90 minutes in a soccer game having the time of my life and not feel like **** afterwards. I don't have gray hair, my back feels great, I could have a 24 hr erection etc...

this is just my time of living

don't hate

(btw my spelling isn't the greatest, i'm just too lazy to fix them)

thinkfloyd14 - if I had my 20's back again I would not want to alter any of those experiences with drugs that would cloud my mind or give me false perceptions. Granted, I liked my weed and hash and even smoked cocaine and drank way too much hard stuff. If I could change any of it I would have wanted to experience more with less mind altering chemicals.

I look at some guys I know here in Dallas. Guys worth over 100 million easy. These guys are good men, hard workers and all in their 70's. I will bet you they would trade it all to be 20 again and be able to run on a field for 90 straight or keep a hard-on for a solid night.

I guess it is true - youth is wasted on the young...

When I think back on the acid and shrooms I did, I just remember that about two hours into the trip, I was ready to stop. I really did not like having those feelings for 8+ hours. Shrooms always made me take multiple showers, I always thought I smelled like mushrooms and changed clothes a number of times during the trip as well. The last time I shroomed, it was bad and yes, my friend was in the corner in his closet crying and I was in my bed thinking my throat was falling apart.

I have the memories and that's fine with me.
