Yes. That's right. 50km/hr (30mph) over the limit & you are toast. All of the Ontario forums - Rennlist, FChat - are buzzing about it. It also comes at the same time that the ZR video hit the news. He's an exotic dealer & filmed himself hitting 339km/hr in an Enzo on a public road in Alberta. And posted it on YouTube as an advertisement.

Drive fast on the track. Drive sanely on the street.

if you throw trash out the window while they are chasing you they will have to stop and clean it up per John Candy.

BIG disagreement, drive sanely on the track, and sanely on the streets. Driving "fast" at a track is a good way to end up in the hospital as you will try to push much harder than you would on the road. To the people who post a picture of a wreck, then say don't speed on the road, take it to the track, I could also find quite a few nearly or fatal accidents at track events to.

Also, "fast" is a relative, to me, its not the speed(70, 120, etc), its the conditions. For example, every day we spin around the earth's center about 25,000 miles! Compare that rate of travel to a measly 120MPH...120MPH is slow...

People get bent out of shape over someone going 100MPH on public roads, when people do it safely in other countries on a regular basis. My '85 944 was TOTALED below the speed limit, if you get so bent up on a speed limit, and not paying attention, communicating with other driver's be vehichle attitude and position, reading theirs, etc, its FAR more dangerous than just driving a little bit faster.

There is a line in the Magna Carta about excessive fines. Time for a little revolution north of the border to take back their freedoms.

While trying to reset the readiness codes on my 993 the other day, I had to drive on the hwy. and keep it below 60mph and 3k rpms for 15 very long minutes. I was the most dangerous car on the road, yet the only one even close to obeying the speed limit. Had I been going with the flow of traffic, I'd have been guilty of reckless driving which, for VA residents, carries a $3000 fine nowadays. Speed limits are a joke.

I can't remember the last time I drove 30 mph over the posted speed limit.
Those who do are usually being wreckless, or are just punks. If someone is driving like a tard at 30 mph over the limit and runs into me or my wife, $10k won't be enough.
How about we drive reasonably so we won't really care anout this law?

That's because everyone knows SC's go into a sudden, uncontroled wobble at those speeds, ripping the sterring wheel right out of your hands.
