It will never get to that. The dead giveaway is his wonderful welds. No penetration and they resemble a crappy solder bead. If there was I oz of seriousness in any of this they would have been properly welded the entire length of the interface. smoothed/faired and then cleaned, berurred and then most of all balanced. Then he would prove how lousy the efficiency was. Turbos are not designed by backyard boneheads. Did he ever mention the the welding may anneal the original impeller. Super heating and letting in slowly cool will destroy the temper of the material these are manufactured/machined, heated to 1800-2000 degrees and then quenched to create the temper. Enough of my ranting...
I would send him a message about homemade grenades and wearing a flak jacket when driving his car. ![]()
