Bizzarre occurence just now...certainly top 10 for me

Wow. The wierdest thing just happened.

Please excuse any typo's in this post, as I am still mostly asleep, having just woke up (fark it's early for me...)

So, lately I've been playing this game on PS3 - Edler Scrolls: Oblivion.

Ten minutes ago, I was happily in a dreamland that has something vaguely to do with the game. I don't recall the exact circumstances, except that I was sort of "in" the game, when in walks a guest appearance by musician Rick Derringer.
I remember thinking to myself "Rick, what are you doing here? You don't belong here..." when Rick is about to pull out his guitar and use it to slay a monster....
And then the phone rang. And I wake up, and notice it's still mostly dark. and I think to myself "Dann people, Time zones!" but I answer the phone with the least groggy voice I can muster...
And on the other end the voice is unmistakeable. It's Rick Derringer.
I haven't spoke to him since March 16th - the day I bought my 911.
He wants something for a guitar....

Certainly in the top 10 wierd occurences for me.

Scuse me...I think I'll go back to bed now and dream about Billie Piper...

Was in PA recently.

On the way to our destination I pass the Crayola museum.

Had a friend who went to work for them a year or so ago.

Thought "wonder how Rob is doing?"

Next day we are at Dutch Wonderland which is a bout a two hour drive from Crayola HQ.

All day I'm thinking, Rob is here somewhere, I can feel it.

Sure enough around 4 o'clock there he was.

He had just arrived. He said he and the wife were sitting around at home and he thought it would be a good idea check out Dutch Wonderland.

Now if it was Stevie Ray or Jimi in your dream...then the phone rings and it's...

You need to spend more time dreaming of cratch. At least there'd be something to look forward to if your phone rang.

I often have a dream where I'm chasing Meg Ryan thru the Lincoln tunnel, but I can't catch her 'cause I keep slipping on the damn whipped cream. Still waiting for her to show up at the toll booth

Wolfe, I guess your pickups are helping him with that great sound he's got now. He's playing better than I've heard him in the last 20 years or so.

The first time I saw him, he started the show with a guitar loaded with Fralins. He abandoned it pretty quickly and finished out the show with my work.

I'm about to make up another set for him for the Purple-Heart wood Warrior he has..for some reason, that guitar is sounding a little thin and ishaving some feedback issues on stage. The thinness is something to do with the wood, I'm sure, as the pickups I've done for his other guitars he loves.

Good show, I take it? He's certainly still got it.

Oh yes...the "standards" of course, but then about 20 minutes worth of lightning-fast (AND MUSICAL) modal improv that would make Steve Morse blush. I had never heard RD play like this before and I must admit he's playing better than ever. Was a casino gig here for about a week, and he'd come out during break and just sit down and talk rather than hanging backstage or in the green room. Small, cozy venue with GREAT sound/lighting.

I didn't know Crayola had a museum. I have seen the Derwent pencil museum. I was going to go in but couldn't see the point.
