So it seems you must have an issue with just about every team that has won a super bowl . If it wasn't cocaine, then steroids , or cameras, or .... Why don't you tell us which team of saints actually DESERVES the ring they won by beating a team that was with little doubt playing on the same surface and substances ? You think LT ws the only one on cocaine ? How bought them Cowboys - oops, Irving. Mile High salute ? Sure Romo whatever you say, just don't kill me in a roid rage. Etc. etc. etc. |
I love how people are jumping to the conclusion of "they've been doing it for a long time" based on ONE isolated incident. Ridiculous.
At worst, the penalty should have been forfeiting the victory against the Jets and taking an "L". At worst. If anyone can prove impropriety in anything other than that ONE game, I'd love to see it. I'm sure everyone else would too. But I suspect it'll be more conjecture and assumption. |
Just going through the motions of proving that the Pats have been cheating for a long time puts one in the spotlight. Who do you think is stupid enough to do that, Jeff?
|
Seems the issue is not over with yet. The commish has requested all tapes/files bellicheat has. Apparently, he has tapes from previous years and all previous opponents--if a team didn't change def cordinators more than likely their signals were the same year to year. Allegations have also arisen about the pats tapping into visiting teams radio frequencies--and even an absurd-sounding claim that the pats had mikes in the shoulderpads of defensive players so they could steal audio signals from the offense opponent.
Like it or not, these antics have cast a pall over what the pats have accomplished on the field |

"Allegations", especially ones brought by a bunch of jealous New Yorkers, are hardly "proof".
|
They were caught cheating.
I have not said once that I am "O.K." with that. But stripping teams of super bowls for what they might or might not have actually done. esp if other teams might be doing similar things to a lesser (or greater degree)... That's just KooKie talk. :D |

hence use of the word "allegations". The commisioners' inquiry will either prove or disprove if any further wrongdoing occured--either way, being caught videotaping the opposition for just 1 game, as has happened, after the league issued a memo to all teams warning them that videotaping was not permitted, proves that in addition to being a cheater, Bellicheck is a pompous ass.SmileWavy |

But he's OUR pompous ass - and we love him for it ! :) By the way folks it's... B - E - L - I - C - H - I - C - K or B - E - L - I - Cheat Depending on which side of this you're on. :D |

However, they are getting handled very lightly for the seriousness of the violation. imo Are you at least jealous that I was at their SB victory in New Orleans? :D It was one of the best Bowl games I have ever attended except for the fact I am a Raider fan....and yes, it was a fumble.. lol |
Maybe you didn't say it - I don't read your posts either. :D
Actually we do agree on the best QB of all time. Yes. That must have been a great game to see live - did you see the guy with the camera next to the enemy bench ? |

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/wat6.gif As for cheaters, I have a friend that coaches for the Pats and I was spying on the Rams to make sure they were not cheating  |
Belichick reminds me of Bill Clinton--smart and stupid. What the Patriots did with the video has to be one of the dumbest moves ever made in sports--and in NY, no less--which hates anything Boston--especially Belichick--and is the center for most of the TV/internet sports media. The result is a tirade of overhyped vitriol. Well, maybe he deserves it.
Obviously, the Patriots don't need extra help--at least this year. Does everybody do it? Yeah, in one form or another. The coaches have said as much. |

It is one thing to break the rules, it is something else to violate the clear intention of the rules without breaking them, then have a rule put in place as a direct result of your prior actions then violate it anyway What color is the sky on your world? |

Brady only threw for three touchdown passes today, but he ran for another two to make up for it. The Pats are averagring over 41 points a game, more than any other team in NFL history. |
