No it didn't have flaps or slats. It had elevons at the back of it's delta wing to control roll and pitch.

Thanks guys. Nice to know those jets have a built in system that advises the crew to lower the flaps. The plane departing out of Charlotte was the Embraer (model unknown) but a twin jet engine commuter. Nice plane by the way. The second in command was abit too talkative on the speaker before takeoff, which made me nervous because you would think that number one and two were yaking away about the, " babe in the bar in concourse B" and did not pay any attention to details.
Now I do not have to sweat and squirm in my seat anymore waiting for flaps to come down just before takeoff if all those bells, whistles and lights are the guardians over cockpit complacency!! Interesting subject and thanks for the education... Bob 73.5T Sepia of course ![]() |
