Mine would have remained amongst the unnamed but I let a lady hang around the garage and she decided that since she had to help clean it for a show that she was goin to name it and the name just stuck.

Glad mine's not the only one called 'the Porsche'
Of course, my Jeep is called 'Katie's car' or 'Katie's Jeep'
and my dad's '93 Jeep is called 'the Jeep'.
We're real original in our car names in my family...lol
As far as I can tell, they're all male/masculine.
But Aubie (who I miss) was called Aubie by me, and he is a he (in my eyes).

However, my '62 Fender Strat is named Rocky, and he's decidedly male.
