So sayeth the Porsche snobs..
Manufactures stepping up and supporting a class is cool in my book. I'll be at the track riding, driving and crewing for my bike and car racing friends regardless of the type of event or machines. |

Very, very cool. Harley has had a strip only version of the V-Rod for a year or two now, and while sales are not all that hot, it says something about the company. How many GT3 RSR's does Porsche sell in a year? Do we really care, just so they do, and continue to demonstrate a commitment to motorsport? It's nice to see Dodge making a similar commitment. They are playing to their audience, just like Porsche. I like that.

I think this is the first time, as a 944 owner, I have ever been accused of being a "Porsche snob".
![]() Seriously, It's not my thing. Some people get all turned-on for Priuses. Some for Monster trucks. Both groups tend to think Porsches are stupid. To each their own...

![]() My take is the money to make this car compete with the generation of drag car it's built to resemble is not on par. I am biased since I think the "retro" look is so over played.

Might do well. Track day cars do well, so why shouldn't "drag day" cars?
For example, Lotus originally planned to build only 750 Elises. But the demand, in part, from track day drivers, pushed Lotus's output of Elises to over 3,500. Regardless, the Dodge is cool - and I'm not that much into drag racing.

Okay, ya got me.
![]() Well, maybe you are not a Porsche snob, but we seem to elevate RR Vs other forms of motorsports. I have as much fun trying to get a friends late model stock car on the podium friday nights as I do wrenching on another friends AMA superstock bike at Road America. legion, you are down state, get a car and go race dirttrack on a friday night. It is insanely FUN and sort of cheap. (for racing) |

![]() I HATE Dodge but I hate bland car companies turning out even more bland cars for the masses much more. If this is Dodges heritage then they should celebrate it and create a special car for the occasion. The Charger looks like it fits the bill. Speedy ![]()

Are you guys sure it's legit? The production Challenger doesn't even come out until mid-year. Something about it looks Photoshopped.
The first Challengers to hit the dealers will be the 425 HP SRT models. Price? $40,995 ![]()

I think it was Car Craft that showed the build-up on the black car pictured. There is a red-white-and-blue version that debuted at SEMA last year as well. I think both were built by Metalcrafters. In that case, pretty cool. Nice to see the OEMs support any form of racing.
