Cool build diary, Audi V8 into Lotus Esprit!

Now you lot seem to get rather worked up over Lotus Elises, ok they are nice but I think the older Esprit is soooo much sexier! Especialy when you transplant a 4.2 Audi V8 into it.
Be warned it runs for about 14 pages...

There are some short videos of it complete and running towards the end too (from page 12)

Back when the 964 was stil in development Porsche engineeres built a few mules powered by Audi V8s. Apparantly w/ success as no one was the wiser w/o looking under the hood.

I saw an Esprit a week ago, parked in front of my office building. It was beautiful. The owner was waiting for the AAA flatbed tow truck.

I dig the Esprit, I have almost bought a V8 one a couple of times and passed on a S4S once that I should have bought....

Hey Patrick, were you ever able to get some pics or idea of how close your headers are to your rear shocks?

Cheers
