Location: Placerville, CA.... You know, the only place on Highway 50 between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe the you find signal lights. Above the fog most of the time and I can see the stars of the Milky Way 8 out of 10 nights. Kinda cool.....

It belongs to the EAA Organization.  Last year they toured in the Ford Tri-Motor which I purchased tickets for my father and my Mrs. I was out of town and couldn't attend. On occasion they tour with their P-51C but due to the cost, I can't justify $3500.00 for a flight/back seat ride. If I'm going to pony up that type of money, I'll go full tilt and get checked out in one out in Florida. Crazy Horse or SixPac are the two twin place D's. Only takes a fat checkbook. The crew getting ready to do the annual Memorial Day tribute fly-by at all the local airports in the Sacramento Area. They use the Placerville Airport as a staging area to launch the event.
