Tim, I support your decision 100%. I'm OT free for about 3 weeks now and there's a noticeable improvement in my life. Too many bad apples here and it's gotten really petty recently since I still scan for interesting things and whatnot. Like others have suggested, I'll post about "real life topics" like Little Traveler, seems my fridge (that I just restored) just died so may ask about that (just clicks), and perhaps my 4Runner restoration (wish I had your welding skills...quarter panel sheetmetal is paper thin) and I recommend you do as well with your incredible skills.

Anyway, good luck and I'll be sure to send some T's for the nephews, if they ever come in from India. Keep in touch.

This sounds a lot like the beginning of an AA meeting.

"Hi, I'm Mark, and I'm an OT addict. I've been off the board for 2 months now, and I really feel like I am starting to get control again. The nightmares about trolls and fluffers have been happening less often, and my marriage is doing much better!"

Tim, don't let the bad apples spoil the bunch. Stick around, and use your ignore button. Except on me.

Man, I spend a week in Myrtle Beach and I come back to find the house in disarray. What happened?

Ah, Tim, you're one of the good guys! You'll be back. Things have gotten a little stinky in here, but they'll improve, they always do. I've noticed a bit of improvement over the last 3 weeks or so.

Come back here and fight like a man!

Seriously, I don't know about this troll thing, but I sure have developed a serious degree of respect for some of the folks here, and Tim sits very high on that list. I hope he returns, at least occasionally. Thanks, Tim, for the banter. Exchanging viewpoints with folks like you, Tim, helps me see clearly what makes America great. Your children are very lucky.

It's safe to come back now, little Timmy. The bad guy is gone and he's not coming back.

sometimes I'll look at a thread and see who the last reply was from.

If I see it's Tim I'll always look to see what he's posting.

some guys you know are just interesting and would be a kick to meet if only for a quick hello and good-by.

Tim,

Sad turn of events. I have been there a couple of times. Wondering what the heck I am wasting my time in this adult sand box for. I stop posting for a while, but after a few days I find myself casually reading posts. Then all of a sudden a topic appears that I really feel like join in on - caught again.

Feelings come and go, but the true price of being involved is the great abundance of clear minded people - real people with real lives - that I get to share thoughts and opinions with.

Its a goldmine, sometimes ugly, distasteful, imbecile, juvenile and boring - but still a goldmine. A goldmine of relations of which you belong among those most cherished.

I might be back someday, but for now, I am gone.
Tim, Sorry to see you depart. Enjoy the flight!

Tim, listen to me.

I AM YOUR FATHER.

Come back as a Sithe Lord and together we will crush the rebellion.
