hey man sorry for whats stressing ya. but you can look at things the way i do.............

every closed door leads to an open door.

got lemons? make lemonade and charge 5 bucks a glass!

when i was in industrial sales no matter how good my numbers were, no matter how much i busted ass, i was always in the toilet when numbers went down. elections/congress/military budget cuts you freeking name it. no mattter how much i prayed, no matter how hard i werked something always shot me in the ass.

the perfect employee. a real "RA-RA"! up at 4am first call at 7am last call 445pm no lunches no titty bars no golf just hard werk.

what did i get? laid off due to downturn in biz.

WTF!

so i took a job for less pay.

less headaches

less road trip crap food

less goofy red eye flights planes trains automobiles insanity.

8 minutes to werk one way. 2 stoplights 2 stop signs.

wayyyyy less stress

and what did i get in return????

more time with my kids

my health and sanity back

a poster child mentality of alferd e. newmann "WHAT ME WORRY?"

home every night

werk 4 10's if werkload light or 6-10's if werkload heavy sundays off period.

take off as much time as i want(unpaid) if i choose to

lifes short and i HATE LAWYERS! you probably hate lawyers also.

ever think about opening yer own biz? nows the time.

reclaim yer sanity back.

ive been self employed for 10 glorious years now. wouldnt have it any other way.

retirement isnt even in my train of thought. retirees die early.

all jobs are a PITA big and small....................its being sneaky and having more fun than others that gets you thru each and every speed bump.

bosses are all the samo................full of poo and all over yer ass.

i am my own worse boss.............nobody can keep up with my pace. and my reward is what i have earned with my own hands.

i get up around 4am in at 6 werk to 4pm and adios. bring my lunch most days(im cheap).

playing fall guy every few years is for the birds. i will never take the fall for others moronic actions or behaviour.

be proactive with this and you will thank me.

remember this................find something that it doesnt matter who is in office. a product or service that continues on despite the economy.

small biz self employed is THE WAY TO BE! good luck

Kurt,

Politics suck. You may be in for a fight. You are a man of conviction and it may hurt, but keep at it. It could take some time but you will prevail. I am sorry that you are going through this. Make it the good fight.

Kurt! we are feeling for you here inKC. Seems like just months ago you were on here raving about that position coming up! Did you peruse the state listings? A friend started in nursing homes just to get his foot in, perfect job opened, he now lives at home, has all dairies north of hwy 36, hunts and fishes, retirement.

something will show up soon! soon enough.

Kurt,

Sorry to hear this, especially right after the holiday season.

Every time something like this has happened to me, it usually ended up far better in the long run.

Keep the faith, keep your head high and keep moving forwards. Will put you on my prayer list.

Take the high road and enjoy kicking his sleazy ass. Best of luck to you - these are hard times for everyone right now so keep looking for those rays of sunshine and enjoy them when/where you find them!

Go do something you enjoy - take a walk, go for a bike ride or a drive, whatever.

I'm starting to realize that no matter how much time you might spend stressing or worrying about things, the number of days you have on this earth doesn't change. That said, try to make them as happy as you can.

(boy, I hope I can start following my own advice more!)

Bless you - I'm hopeful I end up the same way. I'm going to print this out and look at it as an example of what "can potentially be" if I stay positive and focused in these tough times.

Best to you.

I don't read the newspaper anymore, I was dumbfounded by the stuff just made up by the reporter about myself, but you know what, the people who really knew me also said they didn't believe anything they just got done reading, they also ended their paper service. You can bank on the people who really know you!!

Sorry to hear this Kurt...FWIW, you've got my respect...especially all your kind work during the time we tried to save Warren. Politicians...don't like 'em much...especially D.A.'s...
