Kill me now....or help me another way... (not for the queasy)
I am in the midst of the worst flu I've ever been through in my life. I have vomited literally hundreds of times since last night and the other end thinks it's a competition. Exit two is still driving hard to the hoop but the vomiting is almost a complete stop(not because I couldn't but we're at the point where I can deny it). I was at a every 4-5 minutes pace for hours.
I literally slept on the bathroom floor , it's awful. The real problem here is I have that multi-hour exam for that new job tomorrow morning at 8:00 A.M and I need some help to get over this in time. Any tricks, concoctions or witches brews? If not there is a .45 next to my bed and perhaps someone could come over and help a brother out....seriously....wait no not seriously...well we can talk about it anyway.

Get some Gatorade G2 (low sugar version). It will help rehydrate you.
Hopefully you can keep that down.

Dilute grape juice is one of my tools. Flat ginger ale as well. Loperamide for the #2 as well, but your stomach might not like it. The key is to get fluids back into your body, but you have to take it slow as your stomach isn't in the mood for much.

I think he's beyond that. I hope you can get hydrated and get some rest. If not, you won't be in any shape to take an exam. You may get a bye if you see a doctor today. You might be in much better shape if you see a doctor today. I'd go to a clinic rather than a private office. They seem to have more resources.

The wife is snagging me some G2 and I've already been hitting the Immodium, though I fear it's greatly outmatched.
I feel like some tomato soup would help, bad idea? FWIW I haven't eaten since 7 last night. I also can't believe what a bad idea water was last night, that exercise was like one of those mentos/diet coke experiments.

I do feel like I'm on the back end of it, but I almost had the wife take me in last night. The stopper there was I would have schat myself on the way..several times...no doubt. Death at home won out.

Yikes, that's awful. I had a night like that a year or so ago - I'll never forget it. Not as bad as yours, though - it only last maybe a couple hours, and it was 30 minutes or so in between "bouts". I'm pretty sure it was food poisoning.
The only thing that worked for me was gravol, and fighting the urge to puke long enough to let it take effect. It did, and I enjoyed a blissful 4-hour sleep after that.

If you still have time, get to the doc. He can prescribe some medicine to stop the out go of fluids from both ends. The lots of hydration!

Sounds like gastroentinitis (sp?) I got that about 15 years ago. Pure misery - sickest I've ever been in my life. My wife had it a couple weeks beforehand so I think that's where I picked it up from. She got it so bad I had to hospitalize her and she was on IV for a couple of days because of fluid loss. Something to consider - if you get dehydrated it'll only get worse...
Get to a doctor for sure and find out what you've got. Even if there's not much they can do for you other than recommending getting fluids into you, you'll have some peace of mind. Here's hoping you feel better.

Had the same thing over the weekend. Lost 9 lbs, the hard way. G2 and flat gingerale. Struggled to keep it down at first, but the bug eventually left my system...

It's been running rampant around here.
So far the course has been consistent. Vomiting starts in the eve, goes through the night, anything ingested including a sip of water comes right back out. That finishes by morning and the patient seems to have a good deal of energy. Then in the noon early evening they crash real hard and sleep for 10+ hours straight. I avoid Immodium these days. Got some food poisoning once and had to get on a 5 hour flight the next day. Chewed a handful and it got me through. Problem is I did not crap for another 4 days afterwards. When I finally did was afraid I'd blow the bowl up. Hope the test turned out well.

Sounds like something I had in college. They said it was the flu, but it was food poisoning.

+1 on the ginger ale flat or not... last time I felt like what you are describing I couldn't get out of the house... I live alone and my parents are in their 80's so I was afraid whatever I had would kill them (Dad drove by and dropped a box of saltines on the porch) fortunately there is a small neighborhood store half a block from my house where I could get ginger ale between eruptions.
If possible get the fancy ginger ale brewed with real ginger (all they had at the corner store and it worked wonders). Hope you feel better, Any chance of calling in on the interview? I sure they don't want what you got!

If things start to look grim for tomorrow, consider going to 24-hour clinic. At least you can probably get yourself a doctor's note that may allow you to reschedule.

FWIW we had a bunch of people over last night for the games and we've called them all. No one else has any issues at all. I haven't left the house since Sat morning so this is really odd. It hit me like a hammer at 1:00 A.M. with no prior signs.
