Knock Knock!

Just had a Federal Marshall knocking on my back door. It seems two escaped convicts are in the neighborhood, and they left the dome light on in my Jeep.

It's time to grab my Mag-Lite, and my spoon and go check on the neighbors.

They tried to get in the vacant house next door. Nice...........

Escaped convicts, and a severe ice storm. It's gonna be a long night.

I'd carry a spork.

Are they fair game?

Wow. I'd probably be up all night with my 870 and G17 if that happened.

I'd probably keep switching the magazine in the 870 between 000 and slugs, debating with myself which would be better for the situation.

00 - it's like being hit by multiple .32 rounds, all at the same time!

Nine of them. And then the next blast of them is about 2 seconds away.

15 in 3" magnum, and with a semi-auto shotgun you can unload the whole mag in 2 seconds.

By 3AM I'm sure you'd settle on alternating them. I know I'd be polishing up the coffee pot and the Sig if that had happened.

Still haven't caught them as of 3:00 this afternoon.

It was a quiet night, I guess they moved out of the area.

I like how you think. At the moment I have my home defense shotgun loaded with (in order):

00 buckshot (chambered)
sabot slug
00 buckshot
birdshot (wider spread)
birdshot
(and lastly) - another sabot slug (just in case they're still moving at this point)

I think if anyone actually makes it through the entire rack still moving/breathing they can take whatever they want.

Either that or perhaps they were able to slip through the dragnet and are still in the vicinity. Best not to let your guard down until you know for sure!

Be careful!

LOL, you guys are just too much fun

Not that I advocate the use of such things of course; but a friend told me about a 12 guage load called a brush cutter. He said it was like two round fishing sinkers with a lenght of wire cable tied between them.

I've also seen metal powder loads for shotguns. They are used for breaching doors as they have a lot of mass but they quickly dissipate (won't ricochet). I wonder what the effect on a person would be?

Boy that would sure suck to get all wound up on coffee at 3 in the morning, and then mistakenly shoot a US Marshal in the ass with your shotgun. Be careful.

I remember the thoughts you must be having well. An escaped murderer was loose in my neighborhood some time back. I went nowhere unarmed, even when in the house. It was quite a relief when he was finally caught.

I PROMISE I won't shoot a Marshall in the butt!

We have a great neighborhood here, and we all look out for each other. We aren't scared at all, just alert. It's the kind of neighborhood that if a vehicle pulls into the drive when I'm away, at least two neighbors have the make, model, and license number for me when I get home. Some might call it nosey neighbors, but we just look out for each other.

Still haven't heard if they caught them or not.
