You guys need to investigate and understand the reasons why the govt is supporting AIG. In particular, what are the consequences if AIG defaults on its CDS obligations?

*FAR* more than $62 B, which is what has been dispatched to AIG in the past 3 months.
In other news, I read today GM lost $30.9 B in the year 2008. Yeah, they need more money.
