So who here has used a colon cleanse?
I hear a lot of ads for this stuff on the radio, but they all seem to get mixed reviews online. Who has used one and which is the best and safest?

Just buy some simple and inexpensive 100% psyllium husks and forego all of the "special" stuff on the radio, IMO.

I used to commute to West LA - drove on La Cienaga and always saw this big billboard for "The Body Rooters" Then years later there was a Jackass episode where Knoxville went there (specifically for their funkadellic billboard I saw every morning) dressed as Santa and had the colonic.
Nope, never done it, don't plan on it.

Reminds me of this. Warning NSFW and slightly graphic. Hilarious however...

I'll chime in.... I've done it and quite a few of my friends too; it was the thing to do a few years ago; ha!
True Story. My friend gets diagnosed with colon cancer, yadda, yadda. He is a 'worldly' man and finds out that this colon cleansing technique can cure you. He sourced out a "CERTIFIED" colon cleanse dude. The dude really knew his stuff, he cured his wife years before by taking her to a US expert; it was an amazing story, so they both (Hubby & Wife) went to the US and got trained, then they got certified in Canada to do the procedure. They taught me alot about the process and systems. First, you can never properly cleanse your colon orally; can't happen. Second, you can't do it with a single treatment; a proper treatment takes about 10 times. The certified colon cleanser using treated water the first few times, with only a small amount of head pressure from a 2-3 gallon container that holds the treated water. The water goes in until it wont go in anymore, then it discharges. The discharge is done through a clear tube so they can inspect it; amazing the "crap" that comes out. This procedure is repeated a half dozen times until your body shuts it down and wont allow any further penetration of the water. Depending on your comfort level, body, etc, most people dont get very far with their first treatment. The second time you go, you repeat and the water makes it up into your system a little further; by the 7th or 8th treatment you should be able to reach up into your liver through the colon. The liver is cleaned with coffee believe it or not; suppose to work wonders. 10 treatments and you'll feel like a new man; 100% cleaned out. During the process you take some supplements; especially enzymes that are stripped from your colon. 90% of your bodies water intake is through the colon; 90% of your headaches come from the colon; there are a ton of benefits to the process and I can strongly recommend it. As a developer, on occassion we tie into existing sewer systems.... these system are nothing in comparison to our bodies systems and a good cleaning is well worth it. I also learnt that there is no such thing as a "time released" ingredient in pills or supplements; thats a load of bunk. Most vitamins go through you like a rock; especially the popular store bought ones; mainly because of the protective coatings they use. If you're having challenges with your colon; or if you want to feel healthier and better; I would highly recommend a proper treatment. Cheers! |

Real fluffer stuff!
I can´t imagine what the point would be. Well, besides the kinky experience.

Has the FDA even approved this? The doctors I know believe this doesn't work. It has more of a placebo effect.

You shouldn't need a colonic if everything is working as it should. I've had them and yes you feel good afterwards but I think they also wash out healthy bacteria you need and it takes some time to replace. I'd second the suggestion of psyllium husks, (but not if you are constipated!)
This is a favourite with dieting women as it's calorific value is near zero, it fills you up and doesn't leave you constipated like diets can with the benefit of cleaning out the sluices; Follow your diet but take huge amounts the first week, reduce in the second week and reduce again in the third week. Then just go to a well balanced diet with plenty of fruit and fibre.

Dude, people PAY for that?! After having an enema prior to a CT scan, no thanks. I've never felt anything more wrong.
