"Concealment Vest"

Has anyone tried a "concealment vest"?

Don't mean some tactical SWAT-wannabe thing with a zillion sheaths and pockets.

I'm talking about something that looks like a regular casual-wear vest, probably leather, with a reinforced and concealed pocket for a pistol.

Any feedback?

I was carrying a P229 in this photo and it didn't print at all. It's a pretty heavy gun, being all steel with 12+1 rounds.

if yer gonna really want to be super secret covert black ops super stealth spy...............hang a bunch of 35mm film canisters on the vest or some fishing lures!

personally when its a tad nippy out my down vest werks perfect for concealed.

when its hotter than hell, the best i have found is baggy ass cargo pants not using a holster, or baggy cargo pants w/a belt(the wilderness.com) and a xxl hawaiian shirt.

I dunno. I've worn it when traveling overseas and obviously not carrying. It does have a lot of hidden pockets that would keep a pickpocket very frustrated. Carrying a passport, camera, cell phone and wad of third world currency isn't always a great idea in a pair of jeans or fanny pack. And except for that photo being in a no-carry zone like Bryce Canyon, I don't mind if people think I'm carrying or just wondering.

ya know it would be my luck to not be carrying at some national park and some moron goes bizzerk and i have to throw my camera at him!

just had a chat with 2 phx p.d. officers i ran into at the store. ya know the same old hows it going? very busy? kind of chat. they both remarked how domestic violence and property crimes are up due to the economy!

thats why i really enjoy slamming my SAFE shut every morning when i put the BENELLI M-2 TACTICAL SNOTGUN FROM HELL AWAY in its lil home!

and thats why i pay insurance premiums for all the crap tv's and stereo crap they would grab if i was broken into!

ya just got to love the society we live in. i love it so much that MR. M-2 sleeps with me!
