crap...wife made me sit through Oprah.. about bacteria.

i made my wife sit through Heroes, so payback is i sit through Oprah. the show is about bacteria. some lady lost her arm, shoulder and breast from cutting her finger chopping celery. she got a staph infection.

now she is talking about MRSA, another bacteria, a super bug resistant to anti-biotics. if we have a higher power, he/she is a jokester.

crap, did i pick the worst show or what? pass the kool aide.

gotta go and wash my hands now.

Did she also inform you that your days of "swine" hunting are over? I expect that is next.

The title of this thread is reason alone to NEVER get married.

I would divorce any wench that made me watch Oprah Winfrey. In fact, no woman could make me to begin with.

Is the lady that lost her arm going to sue the knife maker?

I guess you have to learn somethings the hard way. That is not a deal I would cut with my wife, she watches way too much E! & I doubt she's interested in watching Brown vs Faber2.

I did catch about 20 seconds of that Oprah show, yikes, quickly turned to the double header.

i will watch Heroes solo from now on. we only have one TV, none in the bedroom. i dont think she will watch ANY tv with me anymore with all my eyerolling and snide comments about O.

I've noticed that most germ-a-phobes seem to have extremely weak immune systems. After years of washing their hands 30 times a day and opening door with paper towels, they haven't come in contact with a virus or bacteria in years. Their immune systems have effectively been sitting on the couch for years watching Oprah. So when they do finally come in contact with something, their flabby, disused immune systems don't have the strength or endurance to fight anything off.

Me? I like to think of my immune system like a bouncer at a hot night club. I keep it lean and well-exercised by not being too concerned about getting sick. I haven't gotten the flu since 1998.

word.

my aunt was one of those disinfect nuts...
then got a little puncture from a piece of metal string to tie up a garbage bag...
nearly lost her finger from the infection...

i've never disinfected any wound or scrape... never had any infection for anything either... never needed antibiotics for anything in my life, not even for pulling my wisdom teeth

Only thing i make sure off, is to get my tetanus shot
Not looking to tempt faigth, and go for the hard core rabies remedy... i hear it's no fun.

Ew. Oprah. She has the interviewing skills of a pumpkin rotting in a field.

Oprah: "So, little Johnny - you were abused as a child, spent years getting beat up in foster homes, have a drug addiction, and will be going to prison soon for armed robbery. You must feel pretty low about yourself now..."

Kid: "Um, well, sort of low. Thanks for asking..."

Oprah, "So, you feel a little low?"

Kid, "Um - yeah - isn't that what I said?"

Oprah, "Yeah, all those things must make you feel pretty low..."

Kid

Oprah, "Coming up NEXT on Oprah, I'm going to discuss the book, "When STUPID people bother you" that I personally endorse that will help people like little Johnny from going over the edge when idiots like me interview him. Then we'll light a candle and watch little Johnny cry..."

The only TV personality I despise more than Oprah is Martha Stewart. I can't hate Rachel Ray, since my wife uses her recipies and I like to eat good food!

At any given point in time, I usually have at least one future scar in healing. My hands look like Mickey Rourke's face.

If that were the payback, I'd cancel my cable and throw the TV out the window. No show is worth that punishment!

Exactly why I will never wear one of those stupid little dust masks for the flu. If it hasn't killed me yet.......

If you have a cable box or a v-chip, you can block Oprah...

I don't care so much about blocking Oprah as just not being around people who watch her. I'll probably never meet Oprah, but it's hard to avoid her disciples.

I like to tell her "disciples" that she used to be an alcoholic and killed a whole family and that's why she feels she needs to be so altruistic.

Yeah, I know it's not true, but most of them buy it.

Well, MRSA is a growing and not insignificant disease. Info I have handy is 94K cases of invasive MRSA infection in 2005 and 20% death rate.
