Too cool. When I was a kid, there used to be a guy with one of these riding around town with his big, red, Irish Setter in it. The dog had the white scarf, goggles, and old leather helmet going. We used to run out and wave as he putted on by, and he always waved back.

When the Russian made Urals first showed up here, on their first run through over 15 years ago, my neighbor and I went to the bike shop to check one out. We were both regulars and knew all the salesmen and mechanics, so we talked them into a test ride. You could tell by the looks on their faces they all had second thoughts the minute us two knucklheads climbed aboard...

We didn't get out of the parking lot before we were up on two wheels. Neighbor was driving, I was the monkey in the sidehack. We spent hours bombing around Lynnwood like that, trading off at every bar we stopped at...

When we got back to the shop a few hours later, we had quite obviously had a few too many, and were having way too much fun. They were pissed (of course). Then they got even more pissed when they went to pull it around back and noticed it was only hitting on one cylinder. "How long has it been doing that??!!" one of them demanded. We just stood there and gave each other a stupid look... "I dunno... I thought it felt kinda slower..." What fun... sidehacks are cool...
