Morning all. First half the day work. Second half waiting 12-5 on a repair guy. Don't know which is worse.

Yeah Wednesday the rain is back. No more freezing temperature and fog.

So what broke?

That sounds like the cable company. "Our repair man will be there between 12:00 and 5:00, you wait right there and we will call at 4:55 and say he was delayed and will have to re-schedule"

The gas fire place. I tried to clean it as posted above (way back) but no joy. Its gas to rather than blow up the house I'd rather pay to have it fixed.

so, i replaced the donut gasket again on the subie. at first the leak was worse. then i drove it around and it seems to have sealed up. i'll have to keep an eye on it.

when i pried the old gasket off, it took some material from the original gasket with it. i cleaned it up really good and then used some scotch brite to get it even cleaner. thus, you guys were right: some of the old material was still stuck on there and preventing a good seal. thanks!

Hehe. I was only thinking about Fanny the other day. I follow the world cup a bit on cable, and haven't seen her this season. Always had a little giggle whenever she was at the gate and her name popped up. :)
