I'm not an engineer but our mechanical department is free-lunch slu+$..they'll let any rep in as long as they bring free food.
|
that to sounds like us. Except we are small enough the standing rule is we all get food or else.
|
We get nothing. I sometimes bring donuts in for my staff.

The rule where I work is, if a rep takes you to lunch, you take them to lunch back. Idea is you don't feel like you owe them anything that way. I look at it as 2 FREE LUNCHES!
|
I like that plan up to the point you had better really like what they are selling cause now you have a friend for life who keeps calling.

We have some very freaky weather today. I went to lunch and as soon as I got outside I noticed it was warm mid 70 and very humid. I went north and within a few miles the temp dropped 15 degrees! I figured a front just came in. I did my errand and ate a bite and came back south.
The freaky part was driving back south. I was on the highway at 65 MPH. There was no gust front or any visible sign except in 1/2 a second my car fogged up. It was freaky. It was not the radiator or the heater core, I was driving the 911! I hit the ventilation fans and the windshield started clearing and I noticed the outside mirrors were fogged up as was the rear window and even some of the painted surfaces. I cleared up within 30 seconds. When I got back to the office it was mid 780s again. Weird stuff even for Oklahoma. Oh, we are in a tornado watch with possible large hail. If the weather starts to get bad I will pull the 911 inside. |
pull it in now just to be safe

^^^hail yeah! :)
