But if both birds have bushes.........

GH85Carrera 06-01-2014 07:59 AM

Bushy birds?

HHI944 06-01-2014 08:23 AM

My dog has this thing about killing birds.....and squirrels....and rabbits.....and frogs....and basically anything small that moves. She nearly cried for joy when she saw a possum the first time. Old people on the beach made horrified cries the first time she got a running start and ripped a seagull out of the air.....the point is, I don't have small animals in my house because my dog kills them

Joe we can break her of that habit if you would like. Ground critters stand no chance of survival in my house, only the winged ones and that was only because I intervened.

Morning all.

Beautiful day hiking in the Shenandoah mountains. :)

My Golden, Camber has brought me a couple of birds, a rabbit, a squirrel AND a LIVE opossum!
Luckily I got the opossum from her and tossed it in the back yard just before it woke back up and ambled off. Was hilarious seeing Camber run up behind the opossum and wait until right on it before she barked. The Opossum just fell over stiff like on of those fainting goats.

She has never bothered the toads besides just smelling them and walking off. Maybe it's because she digs them up every spring.

In her prime she was really fast. At 14 people years/ 88 dog years she pretty much just walks now. Takes a lot to get her excited enough to run. Just looks at me when i throw the frisbee.

Phew, again.

I got the yard edged, mowed, and fertilized. I did the fertilizer under protest. Mrs Carrera insisted. I think it is stupid to fertilize two weeks before I go on vacation for a week and a half. The yard will be a jungle when I get back.

Then after lunch we went to the grocery store. Golly that is almost as fun as mowing the yard, almost.

Then I finally got to start the detail of the 911. I got most of the left side done. I will finish up the other side and then the inside tomorrow. It is supposed to me mid 90s on Thursday so I can tweak the final charge of gas for the AC system. I still need to get the new rear tires mounted.

Lots to do in the next 12 days.

Yea, what happened to Azzy? I guess she does not love us anymore. :(

Finally got to take the SC for a spin. The weather has been crappy the last 2 weekends.
Starter works great......no more heat sink .........yet.

Gotta love those earthquakes that are less that a mile down and close by. 4.2, but felt much stronger. I was sitting on the stairs at my parents when it hit. They have huge glass windows and made some nice noises, but nothing broke. My place is a little closer to the epicenter, but it looks like nothing fell over. One clock that fell over a few months ago is still standing and so are the trophies in my glass cabinet. I think it was felt in the mountains more than in the Valley. I think there is a fault line that isn't well documented that runs through the Santa Monica's.

Possible band photo shoot coming up. It would be in Las Vegas. I'm getting nervous and it hasn't been finalized. This would be my first staged shoot. In the end, I know all would come out alright, but still! I've never done this before and it's not local, so not easy to do again if I eff up.

Remember to take the lens cap off, this time.

slodave 06-01-2014 10:58 PM

I'm in my black phase.
