Not the old atrial dissection BS... .yeah, it happens..... To people with predisposition or preexisting conditions. I haven't seen Amy modern, reputable studies indicating a higher ROI in individuals with healthy CV systems.
And hypertrophy is not always a symptom of disease, it's a natural, physiological response.

we are not talking atrial dissection. we are talking micro injuries to the arterial walls leading to inflammation and so on. perhaps markus or noah would care to chime in. i am probably FOS.

that said, i'd love to read the studies to you mentioned.

To packages, overnight - $184 total. Value of the items - $150. Total profit loss and more on these items. But, tis the season. Hopefully the recipients will enjoy the items. Then it's worth it.

Too much excersize, especially heavy weight lifting is bad for the heart and bad for the muscles. You can micro tear the muscles and they won't heal correctly. As for the heart, it does not like to be stopped mid beat, as can happen as you hold your breath while lifting.

As for long distance running, yea, we were not designed for that, so it also can cause heart problems.

Saw a show on one of the science networks about those long distance runners that run those races that are 100 miles or more. One guy they showed ran to a race over 100 miles from his home, ran the race, then ran home. He trained by running in his sleep at night.

I've known a few ultra marathon guys, including one who won badwater.
Friggin maniac....had a heart attack in his 50s

As for the holding your breath, yeah that's a bad idea....not just for that reason either....if you're lifting that heavy, your muscles need oxygen....and lots of it.....obscene amounts honestly.

We all have to go at some point...I'll take my chances. Before I started lifting again this year, my BP was ~130/85 with RHR of ~65....now, I'm around 105/65 and 50

Speaking of dangerous sports D, you do any boarding yet this season?

porsche4life 12-22-2014 10:44 PM

Hey rick! We do get bears down into town here! This one was about 10 miles from us!

Bear still loose in Mesa, poses no threat to public

Yeah I saw that ( I get Az news) and it sounds like he made the Phoenix police look like the keystone cops.

Morning Y'all, well keep your fingers crossed that I don't have to baby sit the grandkids this morning. I am not in a mood, and actually have an interview this afternoon here. I'm hedging my bets

GH85Carrera 12-23-2014 04:36 AM

Good Morning all.

Monday is over and on to a short work week. Oh goody, I get to take the trash out here at work. ;)

Rick V 12-23-2014 04:37 AM

Okay I just want to know if everybody in Oklahoma laughs all the time?

GH85Carrera 12-23-2014 04:47 AM

I eat fruit here at work and the kitchen trash can was getting full of old banana peels, apple cores, coffee grounds and other assorted garbage. Every few months a guy just has to empty that thing.

When the fruit flies start swarming I know it is time. The fruit flies just give the spiders something to eat. We do call it monster garage for a reason. :p :D

Just wait until you meet Richard. He is funny looking and funny too boot.

Rick V 12-23-2014 04:49 AM

Fruit flies SUCK!

GH85Carrera 12-23-2014 04:55 AM

Hey they don't bite and just fly by on occasion. Just let a few more spiders have their web and the fruit flies are taken care of organically.

It is always amazing how they just appear. I guess in California or Florida they have a panic attack. They are a good indication it is past time to take out the trash.

Rick V 12-23-2014 04:58 AM

We had an infiltration of them this summer from a banana on the bottom of the hand that for some reason went brown overnight. Drove me nutz, it was like being outside. We have wicked gnat swarms here being close to the river and those suck as well, it is not too cool to have that inside

There is a race every year in Scottland that is man vs horse.

Highland Club Loch Ness Self Catering: Man vs Horse - A fair contest?

Often a human can outrun a horse over long distance. Only a dog with access to LOTS of water can keep up with a human.

There is a tribe of Indians in Mexico that persistence hunt. Imagine chasing after a deer until it drops over from exhaustion.

Rick V 12-23-2014 05:04 AM

I don't jog. My hunting is done in selected areas known as grocery stores. They are nice enough to section off the specific breeding grounds for the species, makes it so much easier and most times there is some nice scenery
