Oh Haha 05-23-2015 02:25 PM

Yup, about 75 and sunny here all day. I'm wearing jeans, though. Heading to the roundy track with both kids tonight. MEGASAURUS is the star tonight. Yehaww bitc$#@!

Sunday and Monday are not supposed to be very nice so cramming all of the outside fun in today. I'm going to buff the paint of my FILs 85 Z tomorrow in exchange for a Dewalt Sawzall. The gears on mine stripped themselves a couple of weeks ago and I would have to buy the entire motor to get just the pinion gear.

cleaned the garage. got the tools all sorted. very humid for utah, over 50% i think. my wife bought some pretty good steaks, so that should be fun.

Sorry, but isn't sprinkling rain pretty much 100% humadiddy?

iPhone woked me up with a national weather service warning to watch the weather on TV. We gots a rain/hail storm line coming through that keeps rotating and could drop a twister.

Knew I should have made my grocery run earlier today. Now I gotta wait till the hail threat passes.

GH85Carrera 05-23-2015 04:52 PM

Yeee Hawwww

The storms are here. We have had almost two inches or rain in the last 45 minutes. No hail so far.

We should get another inch of rain. The sidewalk in the backyard along the pond is a flowing river with whitecaps. Fortunately it is flowing right along. We are on a hill so flooding is not a worry for us.

The tornado sirens are going off in Norman and Moore as usual. Only some circulation down there but flooding all over the state is crazy. The river is over the banks out in Elk City.

Well it looks like I am living in the sweet spot this weekend, sunny 80's and 60% humidity so a very very nice three day weekend.
Beth was wiped out when she got home this evening so I took her out to dinner, and of course she has to pic the spendiest place in town, she forgot her check card so I ended up paying for her gas, but what really chapped my ass was I had to put shoes back on.
They are gone now and I am thinking a fire outside is in order. (In a fire pit not as a revenge kind of thing)

GH85Carrera 05-23-2015 06:37 PM

According my weather station the humidity outside is 98% right now. We have had 2.5 inches with more on the way. Moore and Norman are flooding but no tornadoes.

My snotty nose keeps running worse than a sailors dick. Bout time for another dose of drugs.

Just back from hunting and gathering at the supermarket with the missus and I think I'll bake some cinnamon scrolls for afternoon tea.

RKDinOKC 05-23-2015 07:43 PM

Bagged some polish sausage dogs. 14 dogs only 8 buns. Got some extras to burn over fire and mix with beans. That might even make a good omelet in the morning, a beanie weenie and bbq sauce omelet!

Oh Haha 05-23-2015 07:59 PM

Except for the drunk, obnoxious folks behind us it was a fun time at the track.

The figure 8 school bus racing was really cool.

Rick V 05-24-2015 03:55 AM

Well big stupid truck is gonna roll out for the memorial down town this afternoon. It was a request from the VFW.

Outback Porsche 05-24-2015 04:00 AM

That's a cool gig.

Rick V 05-24-2015 04:09 AM

When I talked to the guy yesterday about the 4th he asked me how many people I could carry, I told him there are twelve troop seats, he asked if there was room for folding chairs, I just laughed and told him yes, he said good we were going to need room. It sounds like I am going to have a battalion of vets in the back, he also asked me if the truck had a machine gun hatch that opened, I wonder who or what is going to be sticking up out of the hatch.
I also got permission to fly my eleven foot American flag that has flown over the capitol. That was the only request I have made, and the only one I will make, I really can not describe the honor I have for my ability to do this for these vets. (Yes I am a flag waiver) I may hate my government but my country I hold very dear

GH85Carrera 05-24-2015 07:24 AM

Have someone take a picture of it Rick. I agree 100% on your assessment of the government and the flag.
