More traffic than Glen described, but, from what we've seen so far, we can usually move around easier than here in DC, especially if my wife and I are together in the car. We can use the carpool lanes.

You are near aliso right? Traffic isn't too bad down in that part of town. Only place it sucks is along the beach on the 1 during the weekends...

The only real traffic issues we have here are the combines with big heads. Sometimes they take the whole width of a 2 lane bridge.

Not too far from there. Meeting up with our son & his fiance for dinner on a Friday or Saturday night always means extra time to get through Laguna Beach.

If I see another car on my way to work it's usually coz I've caught up to it

I have to share a story on my wife.

She retired just 29 days ago. On Monday after I had left for work she finally got up out of bed and was going to eat a bowl of cereal. Like anyone that drinks milk she sniffed the jug of milk before pouring it on the cereal. The milk had gone sour.

The store is that specializes in their great milk is UNDER 1/2 mile away. She has 2008 Infinity that has never has any problems of any sort EVER. The sun was out, there was not a cloud in the sky. We live in a very safe neighborhood and very low crime rate.

She did not go to the store to get herself more milk. She did not text me or call me and did not mention she was out of milk until 8:30 that evening. She wanted ME to go to the store to get her some milk. She had the entire day and could not go 1/2 a mile.

That my friends, is the joy of living with a retired person. I don't know what I will do when she is a long time retiree.

Glen when you retire tell her its your turn to get the milk and roll over and go back to sleep.

Rick V 07-29-2015 03:43 PM

Evening Y'all.
Glen I think I married your wifes sister.
Traffic in DC has been rated as worse than LA and for the life of me I have no idea how I managed to get through DC at rush hour after being in Joisey. I am amazed that I never busted a cap in someones ass at least fifteen times

RKDinOKC 07-29-2015 06:44 PM

Is it just me or doest there seem to be an increase in the number Moron drivers going 15-20 mph UNDER the speed limit in the past month?

RKDinOKC 07-29-2015 07:40 PM

When I was doing the R/C plane thing we would put lights on our planes and do night flying. It always drew a big crowd from the highway 1 mile away. They said they thought it was aliens.

Buongiorno, y'all SmileWavy

5AM, 80 degrees, 83% humidity. Ack! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...s/pukeface.gif

RKDinOKC 07-30-2015 02:20 AM

Boing Geronimo 2u2.

5:17 AM, 77°F, 87% humadiddy. Last night at 9:PM went and got a burger, it was so humid the a/c on the short drive cooled the windshield enough to fog up on the outside.

Oh, and as an FYI the bacon on a Carl's Jr burger is more like slighty bacon flavored old shoe leather.

Oh Haha 07-30-2015 04:38 AM

It is not you Richard. During our recent trips across MI we have experienced the same thing. The limit is 70MPH on I69 and there were many folks driving 60(est.).

Even around the local roads I have had others driving under the limit. C'mon, 35 or 40 in 55 zone?!!

RKDinOKC 07-30-2015 05:09 AM

And from what I can tell as I go by these slow pokes they aren't texting or on the phone either. With the poliferation of medical pot I'm thinking stoners.

Oh Haha 07-30-2015 05:16 AM

Yeah, no evident reason for them driving so slow. Not senior citizens in the ones I saw, either.

RKDinOKC 07-30-2015 05:19 AM

Or persons of Asian immigration. And if a light turns red 1/4 mile away, they start slowing down even more!
